Tanjiro was inside Genya's room, telling him in detail what happened on the last day while eating rice crackers, unaware of the boy trembling in anger.
“He'll finish it the day after tomorrow, he said that the sharpening method is incredibly demanding that it killed people, I'm worried… He forbade me from peeking in, but may I go see?” He asked him with a worried expression.
“WHAT'S IT TO ME?! GET OUT! DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE I'M YOUR FRIEND!” Genya angrily exclaimed back.
“Huh? We aren't friends?”
“Of course not! You broke my arm! Don't tell me you forgot?!”
“That was necessary. You were completely in the wrong for hitting a girl, Genya.” Tanjiro said with a blank smile.
“DON'T CALL ME BY MY FIRST NAME!!”
“These rice crackers are tasty, do you want one?” Tanjiro reached out a rice cracker to him, which Genya responded by angrily smacking his hand. “NO! GET LOST!”
He was about to attack him, but the door was suddenly slammed open, revealing a Y/N with her hair completely filled with branches and leaves. “Tanjiro! I found a really cool rock!”
She happily walked over to them. “Oh! Rice crackers! Yay!”
“Y/N, what happened? Why are there so many branches on your head?!” Tanjiro worriedly asked while gently removing the leaves from her hair.
“I was playing with Kotetsu, he really likes climbing trees-” She commented while munching on a cracker, until she noticed Genya, who had turned into a statue. “Oh! Genya! Do you want a rice cracker?”
“Ah! That was what I was offering too!” Tanjiro exclaimed.
Y/N approached him, waving her hand in front of his frozen face. “Oooi! Genya, are you there?” no response.
“…huh? Your tooth… Wasn't your front tooth missing? At the hot spring?” Tanjiro asked.
Genya looked down, mumbling while Y/N kept rubbing a rice cracker against his cheek : “You must be mistaken.”
“I'm not mistaken. I still have the tooth.” He bluntly took it out from his pocket.
“WHY DID YOU KEEP IT, YOU WEIRDO?! AND STOP RUBBING THAT RICE CRACKER ON MY FACE, I'M NOT EATING IT-!!” He slapped Y/N's hand away.
“No. You dropped it, so I wanted to return it.”
“YOU MUST BE CRAZY! THROW IT AWAY! AND GET OUT! BOTH OF YOU!!”
He grabbed Y/N and delicately put her down on the corridor, while Tanjiro was harshly kicked outside, making the boy face-plant on the floor.
“Jeez… what's with this difference in treatment…?” Tanjiro mumbled, sitting up from the ground.
