Fatal flinched at the blaring music and strobe lights as he sought a dark corner in the room. Sanses, Papyruses, Undynes, and even Asgors partied all around him, bumping him and pushing him into other party guests. He grumbled silently before adjusting his suit and pushing on.
Why was he at the party at not at the Center? Simple really. Dream had suggested it.
Dream's favorite season was Halloween (surprisingly) and he had thought of a plan so that they could all let off steam. He had gotten together with Error to explore multiverses and see if any could throw a good Halloween party.
After a few weeks of searching, Error found a multiverse that was scheduled to be destroyed but was known as a tight-knit family multiverse (rare but fun to watch). They had found a costume party being held in one of the three. It was easy to guess what happened from there.
Now, all of the Council, family of the Council, and friends of the Council were partying among various Aus in a singular multiverse.
Fatal smiled with relief when he finally found a corner slightly dimmer and where the strobe lights could barely reach.
He rushed over to it and slid into it, letting out a sigh of relief when he felt the wall behind his back. He adjusted his suit again before taking an unassuming pose to watch the other party goers.
From his corner, he could see most of the room, and was glad for it. He still felt slightly claustrophobic with how many people were around, but at least he could see around.
He saw Dream in his surprisingly (concerningly) terrifying vampire costume, Nightmare sporting a Jack Skellington, and Error dressed like... a thing.
Fatal adjusted his suit again, somewhat annoyed with how similar it was to Nightmare's but ignoring it. He was already hating the party, but felt that it would be rude to just leave.
He was getting a headache from everything and feeling queasy on top of that. Coming from years spent in a dark cell to suddenly being surrounded by bright lights and now loud noises and way too many people for his liking, he couldn't escape the feeling of drowning.
"Hi!" came a cheery voice right beside him.
He jumped, hearing static in his ears for a few minutes before he could calm down. Looking behind him, he saw that it was Dream's kid, Palette.
"Kid, hOw many TImeS have i told yOU not To do tHAt?" Fatal said, forcing himself not to growl, knowing how it would effect the kid.
"Oh! Sorry," Palette said, wincing slightly. "Just wanted to know why you're not with everyone else."
Fatal looked out at the crowd, the lights making him wince when they hit him and the loud music making him want to curl into a ball.
"I'm nOt... used tO be BEinG around pEOPle," he answered, leaning against the wall. "Why aRE you FoCUSed on Me?"
Palette thought for a second before looking back up at him, "You seemed lonely."
"Well, I'M fine," Fatal said, looking back into the crowd.
"Are you sure?" Palette asked, earning an eye roll.
Fatal knee he was having trouble adjusting. Going from a dark, cramped, and silent jail cell to a colorful, loud world was jolting. Even now he felt claustrophobic about the crowd and hated the strobe lights and loud music. He couldn't ask them to stop though. These were steeples for parties. Who was he to ruin other people's fun?
"Well, I'm sure my dad wouldn't mind if you left," Palette said, confusing Fatal.
He looked back at the kid, who was back to all smiles.
"I'm going to go find Goth!" he said before running off.
Fatal looked back over the party before shrugging and tapping some codes on his control.
If Dream wouldn't mind, he would rather spend the season in his room with a horror movie and some candy.

Sorry about the hiatuses but I was able to whip this up for Halloween. Thank you all for being patient. I might be able to get stuff done during Thanksgiving break, but I'm not sure.
Here's some Fatal!
