" Annie and Becky are coming back tomorrow. Now those two are nice girls" mother commented as we ate dinner. " You excited for tomorrow it's the first day of summer camp" I smiled. " I have a feeling that I'm gonna have the best time at camp" little did they know that's Regan is gonna come with me. " That's the spirit, princess. You packed and ready for tomorrow afternoon?" I shook my head. " No, not yet. I want you to drop me off earlier than the call time" can't have them seeing Regan then our whole plan would be ruined.
After taking a shower I laid out most of my closet on my queen size bed " can't decide what to wear?" turning around to see my mother walking into the room. " You can say that" camp is two weeks so, I have to pack quite of bit of stuff. " How about this? have to dress to impress" holding out a really nice dress. " It's summer camp not prom mother and who do I have to impress?" I questioned. " That Goode boy not the older one. The other one ugh what's his name?" snapping her fingers. " Will?" Will and I used to be a thing not really a thing it was a elementary school type of thing. We would hold hands and pass silly love notes to each other I never felt anything no matter how hard I tried. " Yes, Will he's a cutie and he comes from a nice family. I heard some stuff about you two last summer" she giggle like a school girl. " It's not like that" she grabbed my cheeks. " I wouldn't be mad if it was. Now don't stay up too late you gonna have a busy day tomorrow" I finish packing setting my suitcase by the door. I opened my door to see that it remained unlocked. Mothers been locking me in my bedroom since that night in the pool.
I decide to see Regan haven't seen her since the fourth of July arriving at the pitch black house except for one room Regan's room " Regan" I threw pebbles at her window till she opened it. " Sheila, what are you doing here?".
" I just wanted to see my girlfriend unlock your front door".
" Okay, one second" we met at the front door.
" My dad's sleeping. We have to be quiet" grabbing my hand leading me to her bedroom.
" You ready for camp?" seeing the suitcase next to the door.
" Yeah, I'm a little nervous. I've never been out to the middle of nowhere for two weeks but I know it'll be fine cause we'll be together" grabbing my hands.
" Get to spend every waking hour with you sounds like paradise to me" we kissed as we lay on the bed turning into a heated make out session.
" What's camp like?"Regan questioned as I laid my head on her chest.
" There's a lake we can go swimming, kayaking, arts and crafts, hiking, but the best part of summer camp is color war" Regan runs her fingers through my long dark hair.
" What's color war?".
" It's like capture the flag. We play at nighttime playing color war in the dark makes it even more fun".
" I wish we can always be like this" kissing the top of my head.
" Who was that guy you were with at the park?".
" Greg, the close friend that I was telling you about. He's like my older brother he came to visit me. He approves of us and so does my dad they want me to be happy and you make me happy" my heart fluttered.
" You make me happy too. Your my favorite person" I confessed.
" I was going through a tough patch before I met you. You saved me . . . saved me from myself" I didn't want to leave her warm embrace. " I should get going" Regan hugs me tighter.
" I don't want you to go. I like cuddles".
" I know but I can't fall asleep maybe we'll be roommates at camp and we can cuddle all we want".
We drove to the local middle school a couple of kids with their parents are waiting for the bus to drive us to camp Nightwing " you want us to wait till Becky and Annie come princess?" helping me with my bag. " No, I'll be fine. I'll see you in two weeks" I hugged my parents goodbye. More and More kids arrive at the school " where is she?" I whispered to myself. A familiar car pulled up I squealed with excitement running to the car opening her door as we hugged. David gets her suitcase out of the trunk " alrighty, you girls have fun at camp" I watched as they had a little father daughter moment. " I enjoyed having you with me this past month. You call me if you need anything or you want me to pick you up, okay. I love you" their relationship has dramatically changed these past couple of weeks. " I will, love you too dad. Don't miss me too much" David laughs. " I'm already failing at that. You girls take care of each other see you in two weeks" we watched as his car disappeared. " You gonna miss him aren't ya?".
" Yeah, he wasn't the asshole I thought he was. Too bad I didn't get to know him sooner ".
" Regan?" I turned to see Ziggy Berman with the crew of shady side counselors.
" Ziggy!" I watched as she ran to hug that witch bitch.
"Sheila,oh my god we missed you so much!" Annie and Becky tackled me into a hug.
" Looks like we have some fresh meat" Becky commented.
" Who knew the witch bitch even had friends" they giggled.
I watched as she happily socialize with the shadysiders then it hit me. My girlfriend is the enemy she's a shadysider.
