I was covered in blood running through the woods. I looked over my shoulder he was gaining on me. I tried to run faster by my legs were aching and my lungs were burning. He grabbed my hair from behind yanking me to the ground. " No, no, no!" I screamed. I saw the axe come down " Regan!" Sheila called out. She was completely fine just out of breath " baby, no, no,no!" I felt like i was floating out of my body. I can see my lifeless body laying on the grass in a pool of blood. Sheila ran up to me falling down on her knees pulling me onto her lap getting drenched in my blood. She let out a blood curling scream.
I woke up drenched in sweat Ziggy was still sleeping guess I wasn't screaming in real life this time. Tears ran down my face as the dream repeated in my head grabbing Andy's jacket running to Sheila's cabin for comfort. All three of them were sleeping in their beds I gently shook Sheila making her groan opening her blue eyes " Regan?" I started to silently cry. " Baby, what's a matter? " quickly sitting up glancing at Becky and Annie who are still fast asleep. " I had another nightmare" my voice cracked.
" I want to sleep with you".
" You know we can't do that" Sheila said.
" Please, I need my girlfriend. I need you right now sheila. They won't wake up they sleep like a rock, please" I cried.
She lifted up her blankets moving over, I got into the bed. She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me close " you can stay for a little while" I broke down. Sheila just held me close rubbing my back, running her fingers through my hair.
When I calmed down she kissed my forehead " what happened in your nightmare. Was your brother in it?"I couldn't see the attackers face it was pitch black in the nightmare.
" You were in it" I whispered.
" Okay, what did I do?" my lower lip trembled as a tear rolled down my cheek.
" He was chasing me with the axe through the woods. I was covered in blood running for my life. Every time I looked over my shoulder he got closer and closer and this time he got me. You were calling my name looking for me" starting to breath heavily as I was reliving the nightmare.
" Then what happened. You don't have to be afraid" squeezing my hand three times.
" My biggest fear. You found my body like I did with my brother Andy. It happened here at camp. It's the curse I'm cursed" I cried.
" hey, you are not cursed. You saw something terrible that day now it's playing in your dreams".
" Why, did they come back? They were gone and now their back".
" I don't know why they came back. I'm gonna talk to Kurt and I'll make sure that you'll be with me, okay. I'll take care of it" I rest my head on her chest.
My eyes burned harshly I was so drained mentally " can I sleep with you? Now I feel safe enough to go to sleep" I felt safe in her arms the attacker in my dreams can't hurt me now.
" I don't think it'll be a good idea what if one of the girls wake up. What if Ziggy wakes up and sees you're not there. She'll look for you they can't find you here".
" I don't care anymore. Let them see".
" You're exhausted people don't care when they are tired. You'll care in the morning. We'll sleep in each others arms very soon" I huffed and got out of the bed.
" I'll tuck you in" she grabbed my hand.
Entering the cabin to still see Ziggy in the same position as I left her. Sheila guided me into the bed laying down putting the blankets over me " I'm glad you came to me in your time of need. I'll talk to Kurt as soon as I see him" squeezing my hand three times.
" When you hold my hand why do you squeeze it three times?".
" I don't know I just care and love you so much" kissing the back of my hand.
" It's our secret code it's means I love you. And I do I never loved anyone like I do you" Sheila puts her lips on mine.
