The girl waited for Peppers response as she slumped back in the chair "please eat Nadia" she said instead of punishing the girl like Nadia thought she would.

"I'm not hungry" Nadia replied nonchalantly in response.

She received an eyebrow raised at her "okay well you might not be hungry but it doesn't mean that your body still doesn't need food to function" the blonde said leaving no room for discussion in the argument, Nadia rolled her eyes.

Rather than scolding the girl like she usually would she decided to go a different route, it was clear she was feeling down so she didn't want to make it worse for her.

"10 bites?" Pepper offered however Nadia shook her head "zero" she stated in return "that's not how negotiating works sweetie" the woman told her "fine 3 bites" Nadia eventually said much to her displeasure though.

"9 bites" the woman lowered it ever so slightly but it wasn't good enough for the girl.

So in response she received a glare "nice try but if I have to negotiate properly then so do you, 5 bites" the girl responded "7?" Pepper questioned at her.

Taking a second to think about it she slowly nodded her head making the woman smile at her "also that doesn't include the bite you took before" she told the girl.

Not wanting the cereal even soggier than it already was she took a small bite.

"Full sized bites Nadia, if you aren't capable of that I can feed you and don't even think about taking longer I can do my work right here all day" Pepper threatened.

Breakfast had lasted for longer than 30 minutes and it took a lot of threatening, persuasion and convincing but in the end she ate all she had to.

Nothing more nor nothing less.

Afterwards Pepper got her dressed for the day, fortunately over the past couple of months with all the sleepovers Nadia had with Sam they had some of Nadia's clothes laying around so she didn't have to wear Sam's clothes; which might I add were painfully so oversized on the girl.

Now Nadia was sat on Clint's lap watching tv, she kept looking back to see if Sam had walked in secretly hoping he did so she could apologise yet he didn't.

Giving up after about the 6th time she sighed turning back to watch the childish tv show "what's up?" Clint asked with a hint of concern in his voice, the girl took out the pacifier that she had been sucking on "what do you mean?" she questioned.

"You're telling me there isn't a reason you just sighed and you've been looking back every single second?" He sarcastically asked "me and Sam had a fight" she mumbled shifting slightly in his lap.

This made him readjust the girl and slightly tighten his grip on her.

"What'd you fight about?" The man asked wanting to help the best he could but he received the shake of her head in response and a shrug.

She looked down into her lap opting not to reply to his question "okay you don't have to tell me about the fight but what's worrying that little head of yours?" He questioned.

The pair sat in silence for a few minutes "I got really mad and I uhm...snapped at him..he probably thinks I'm mean and cruel" she said partially embarrassed as out loud it sounded like a dumb thing to say.

To try ease her awkwardness she laughed slightly "god I'm sorry I sound ridiculous" she forcefully chuckled blushing.

It didn't take long for her laughter to turn into pitiful light crying making her wipe her eyes, she laughed at her emotional behaviour "I'm sorry that I'm crying, it's all stupid" Nadia told him squirming uncomfortably on his lap; she couldn't get off however because of this tight grip "it's not stupid Nadia it's a valid thing to worry about" he said.
