You complete me

Chapter 9

    The ride was quiet. Completely quiet. But neither of them cared. Riaz was lost in thoughts about how this girl who is stubborn like hell would probably agree to marry him. 

Meanwhile, Eva was looking at her surroundings. The road wasn't crowded with other cars. But its sides were full of tall and small trees giving a forestry look which made her kinda scared. And she just couldn't trust this guy who is driving. She wondered if the guy would kidnap her or something. In her thoughts, he was indeed a mere stranger! Yes! An attractive mere stranger.

    Their destination was quite long and she felt kinda bored. Breaking the silence she asked, "Hey! Can you play some music?" 

Riaz looked at her side blankly. He then averted his eyes to the road and said," I don't have songs in my car."

"Are you serious? You are boring." She said showing him a confused face. He just remained silent, not sure of what he should say. 'Songs? In my car? From the bloody killer himself', he thought to himself.

"At least can you tell me how long it is gonna take to reach there?" Eva asked looking at him.

"Mm? It would take 20 minutes."

Eva sighed and hummed in response. She leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes feeling the cool breeze touching her skin. Riaz felt something strange with the awkward silence. He turned his head sideways and the moment he saw her face, he felt the world at pause. She was fucking adorable! Her beautiful almond eyes had become more beautiful due to the thin black line she had drawn above her eyelids! Her lips were painted with some kind of pink lipstick and he didn't know why but he wanted to touch those with his fingers. He actually raised his fingers to touch her lips. When there was only inches between his fingers and her lips, he paused for a moment. He mentally cursed himself for what he was about to do right now.

His mind got flooded with unknown thoughts, which he couldn't reciprocate and when he finally averted his gaze to the road, he found his car about to bump into a tree. "Shit!", he cursed so loudly that Eva got startled and opened her eyes at lightning speed. She felt like her life is gonna end. She didn't wanna die like this. She waited for the car to finally bump into that huge tree. And most importantly, she didn't want to die with this person. But before it could hit, Riaz did something leaving Eva confused and stepping on the brake so strongly that the car was now standing 0.5 cm ahead of the tree.

"Do you want to kill me? Is this why you brought me with you? I had a doubt though! Don't you know how to drive? Excuse me! Are you at your senses? Do-" Eva was shouting when he cut off her words.

"Don't fucking sleep in my car" Riaz roared staring at her with a harsh expression.

"I didn't sleep. Closing eyes for peace is different from sleeping. And what does it have to do with the accident which you were about to create now?"

 "Whatever! But I don't like people sleeping in my car", he shouted which literally made no sense. Eva just gave him a 'Bro, are you serious' look completely speechless with the nonsense his mouth spit.

"And I had to turn the car laterally because there was a fucking rabbit sleeping by the road" he added in blunt voice.

"Really? A rabbit? Why didn't you call me? I could have seen it too" she said disappointedly looking through the window.

Riaz breathed out. 'This dumb! That fucking rabbit was you! Dumb! Such a fool!'.

    When they finally reached, Riaz hastily got up from the car, reaching the other side, and opened the door for her. He remembered those words Brent said 'He even opened the door for Eva like a gentleman' about that John or whatever, he didn't care. He was a competitive guy and somehow he didn't wanna lose her to that bastard.
