Chapter 17 - Computer Plz?

This happens right after Tommy runs away at the end of last chapter.

-Nobody's POV-

Tommy runs into Technoblade's room to see him playing Minecraft, like usual.

"Hey Techno!"

"Can you give me a moment, Tommy? I'm in the middle of a game. I'll talk to you when this round ends."

"But Techno! I want to talk to you now!"

"I'm almost done!"

Tommy smashes his keyboard (like bangs on the keys, not breaks the keyboard), making Techno lose the MCC practice game.

"Tommy!"

"Hmph. Why do you get a computer anyway?"

"I paid for half of it, and Phil paid for the other half for my birthday."

"Do you think I can get Phil to buy me a computer?"

"No."

"Oh come on, Techno! I'm much more persuasive than you!"

"Really? Wanna bet on whether or not he'll give you the PC? If I win, you do the dishes tonight instead of me, and if you win, I'll carry the groceries next time you have to do that?"

"Uh, hmm."

"Are you hesitating because you know you'll lose?"

"No! Fine, let's bet! It will be nice having you carry the groceries for me, plus you'll have to listen to me the whole way there and back!"

"If you win, which you won't."

"Wait, Phil's coming. Techno, you can't say anything or in any other way sway Phil's decision. It should be like you aren't even there."

"Fine. But I'm only agreeing because I know I'll win either way."

Phil walks into the room.

"Hello Techno, Tommy. I hope Tommy wasn't being too disruptive?"

"I mean he made me lose the practice game I was playing, but it could've been worse."

"Oh, that's good. But please don't do that next time."

"Fine. Phil, I wanted to ask you something. Can we go to my room?

"Sure, Tommy."

They walk to his room.

"Can I have my own computer?"

"No."

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

"Nope."

"But Technoblade has one! Why does he get one and I don't? Do you like him more than me?"

"NO! Nope! We're not doing this again!"

"But Phil–"

"No! I've already told you, if I do that, I won't be able to get people to college or buy a house when we move out!"

"Then why did you get Technoblade one?"

"He paid for half of it, and he lets me use it a lot too! Also, it was his birthday! If you want to pay for half of yours and do everything else Techno did, then maybe I'll think about it."

"Aww, Phil..." Tommy slowly leaves.

"Leave if you want, Tommy. I'm not going to buy you a computer because you're acting all sad. If you want a computer, find a way to make money."

"But I'm not yet 16! I can't get a job!"

"Find someone that lives near here and work for them mowing their lawn or walking their dogs or something like that, I don't know. And you can buy the groceries for me whenever it's my turn, and keep the change."

"That's too hard."

Tommy walks back to Techno.

"I take that as a win for Technoblade?"

Tommy nods sadly.

"Yay! No dish duty tonight!"

Tommy groans.
