A month or so passes, Will, Techno, and Phil all get to know each other better, the whole deal. Wilbur still doesn't have a roommate, because no one new had joined the orphanage.

By the way, kids only leave the orphanage if they turn 18 or if they get adopted. You still can adopt kids from this orphanage, but they don't have visits that you can make to meet kids or anything like that, so you'd pretty much only get adopted if there's a particular person who already knew you and decided to adopt you. And that doesn't happen very often, because usually if there was someone like that, they would have taken care of you from the start and you'd never have ended up in an orphanage in the first place. One day, Phil and Techno were just hanging out, doing things in their room, when Techno randomly said, "Phil, do you ever miss your family?"

Phil responds, "Hmm, sometimes. My parents were always fighting though, and I don't miss the lack of peace. Do you miss your family?"

"Mm hm. My parents were really great people. They're the ones that bought me Minecraft for the first time, as well as a pc to play on. In some ways, playing Minecraft reminds me of them."

Phil smiles. "I'm glad I could allow you to keep playing it, then."

"You know it's kind of weird. When my parents were killed, the only things I remember hearing about the murderers was that they grew up as orphans (3.), which somehow contributed to what made them want to become murderers, and I vowed to get my revenge on orphans. But when I met you, even though you're at this orphanage, instead of being my enemy, you're almost like my brother."

"Not that this actually means anything, but I'm not technically an orphan. I'm here because when my parents got a divorce, neither of them wanted/could take care of me, so I was sent here."

"Oh, so maybe orphans are evil after all. I don't know the other kids here very well."

Phil sighs. "Techno, no. What about Will? I don't actually know if he's a true orphan or not, he hasn't told us, but he might be. And he's not evil."

Techno chuckled and smiled. "Well, not most of the time. He can be pretty annoying at times."

Phil laughed as well. "I mean, really, if the fact that the murderers were orphans helped motivate them to kill people, that just means that they needed to get therapy and work through their trauma instead of letting it ruin their lives. It doesn't mean that you should treat every orphan like they're evil."

Techno rolls his eyes. "Says the psychologist."

"That just proves I know what I'm talking about."

"Suuure."

"Anyway, uh..." Phil tries to think of something to change the topic. "Wait, earlier, did you call me your brother?"

Techno blushes (4.) slightly and nods.

"That actually fits really well. I haven't had any siblings before. For good reason, I don't know how my parents' messed up relationship even produced me, but from what I've heard from other people who have siblings, it fits."

Techno smiles. "Yeah. When I came here, having just lost my former family, I didn't think I'd be coming here to make a new one."

"I mean, I never really thought I'd ever have a calm, loving family. But here we are."

"Well anyway, enough sappy stuff, I'm going to play Minecraft. I recently got invited to play on this server where there are a lot of competitions, and I'm doing pretty well. The best part is the winner gets money, so I might be able to drop out of the other obstacle course I've been doing. It's more fun to just sit in a chair and do tournaments in a video game. Anyway, there's a competition in half an hour and I should warm up."

"Alright, Techno. Good luck on your competition, and let me know if you need anything."

"Will do."

Techno goes online, and Phil leaves to get ready for work.

A/Ns:

1. And spoiler alert, Wilbur isn't going to get adopted by Mikey from earlier. She's just part of his backstory and probably won't be important later unless I decide to do a chapter where they run into each other and say hi and stuff, but that's it. Nor will Phil's parents get over their issues and adopt him. But there is a reason I'm leaving the adoption thing in, feel free to speculate.

2. Lol random fact probably no one cares about: When I got to writing here, I literally forgot Phil's background. Part of Phil is based off of one character, but his backstory comes from another character and I forgot about that.

3. I'm saying it this way because a lot of adults are technically orphans if their parents have died, but that's not saying much. And I don't want the killers to be kids. So this means that their parents were dead even when they were kids, but now they're adults

4. Once again, this is from being embarrassed! Nothing else.
