(And wE'RE BACK. Sorry for not posting for a while, last few weeks were a bit hectic)
It had been a few days since Varian had his mother's journal gifted to him, and what he found surprised him.
She was an alchemist, just like him.
He learnt about so many of her experiments, so may of her discovery's.But he also learnt about something else.
The Seven Trials of the Seven Kingdoms.
Varian tried to ask his father about them, but he knew nothing.
But then he remembered someone who would know.
(Timeskip because yes)
Varian walked up to the blacksmith, holding his mother's journal nervously against his chest, Ruddiger by his side, as always.
"Uh, hey Xavier..." the alchemist said, still nervous. The dark-skinned man turned around, smiling as he saw the now eighteen year old.
"Ah, Varian. What brings you here?" The blacksmith asked.
Varian looked down at the book in his arms. "My dad gave me my mom's old journal and theres something in it about 'the Seven Trials and the Seven Kingdoms'. I was wondering if you could tell me about it?"
"The Seven Trials, hm? It's been a while since I last heard that legend" Xavier continued to work as he spoke.
"Every kingdom has a trial. Legend says if someone is to complete all seven trials, they will gain access to The Eternal Library and its limitless knowledge"
Varian looked back down at the journal. Is this what his mother was working on when she disappeared?
"Did that help in any way?" the blacksmith asked.
The alchemist looked up at Xavier, a small smile forming on his face."Yes, thank you, it means a lot"
"My pleasure" Xavier replied. Varian turned to leave, a determined look on his face.
He knows what he has to do.
