Chapter 5: Date Night

What turned out to be "soon" ended up being today. I woke up this morning to a message saying "See you soon" and my first thought was what the hell is this? I don't have anything decent in the slightest to wear to a date I don't even have time to prepare! Shit shit shit I thought to myself I can't ruin this, this is my one shot I have. I opened my drawer and grabbed all my money. I have to save some for tonight, I can't spend it all before my date. I have around 250 bucks to spend which frankly isn't that much but I'll have to make do. Well I walked out my hotel to find out that it's pouring rain. So in a sense it was a relief because now I don't have to stress about dressing super nice. I went back inside and thought about where I wanted to take her. I felt like taking her to my job but that wouldn't be very professional of me, it then dawned on me that there's a red lobster restaurant nearby and that it's not the most expensive thing in the world. I looked through my clothes I poured on the extra bed in my room and found a nice dark red shirt, black tailcoat, beige dress pants, and a pair of dress shoes. Honestly I felt super ready and that I was gonna completely take the victory tonight. That somehow took half the day and it was 4:30 already. I texted her what time would work best and she said 5:30 so shit I have an hour if not less. I got myself dressed, combed my fur and I puffed up my chest and I looked like an alpha. I headed outside, popped open my umbrella and started walking to where my future begins. I finally got there and I felt good and on top of that it was my favorite weather, pouring rain. "Hey, Alex" I heard and there she was my date, and potentially my soulmate.
"Hey Loona"
"Wow you dressed fancier than I thought you were gonna dress"
"I tried my best"
"Now I feel bad"
"Feel bad for what?"
"Well I don't look as fancy as you do I'm just wearing normal clothing"
"Don't worry about it, you look cute....I mean fine"
"Heh, cmon let's go inside it's pouring out here"
"Yea", This really is going well I complimented her I think. Well anyways we got our table and began to look at the menu, and we ordered our food.
"I can't wait to try my lobster" I said.
"My steaks gonna taste better than it" Loona responded.
"Nuh uh"
"Yuh huh"
"Thanks by the way, Alex"
"Why are you thanking me?"
"Well I don't know it was just sweet of you to take me out"
"Oh, you are very welcome"
"Man this coffee really does taste good, Loona are you cold?"
"A little but it's ok"
"Nono here take this"
"But what if you get cold"
"I'll be fine my tailcoat should keep you warm enough"
"Thanks"
"After here do you wanna come chill in my hotel room for a bit?"
"Sure, also I know you have a job already but another receptionist position opened up at my work place and you know if your interested"
"Does that mean I get to work with you?"
"Mhm"
"I'll heavily consider it"
"Alright well heres the card"
"Thanks, and also did I ever mention how you look right now?"
"You kinda did when we got here"
"Well i'll say it again, you look really nice"
"Can you um say the other thing you told me"
"What other thing?"
"Before you said I looked nice"
"I don't understand"
"Cmon don't be a dumbass you know what I mean"
"Oh that you look cute"
"Thanks..." (she ended up blushing because of that!)
"Ah look our foods here"
"Yay, I'm starving"
"Man this lobster tastes good"
"Can I try it a piece"
"Only if I can have a piece of your steak"
"Fine here"
"Alright heres your lobster, enjoy"
"Oh wow it doesn't taste half bad"
"The steak is pretty good", We finished eating our food and payed. Walking out with her I felt my paw grab onto hers and I saw her smile faintly blushing. I must say this is the best night I've ever had that includes when I was up in the living world.
