I sat there worrying, I had a bandage to cover up my missing hand from bleeding but I couldn't help myself in pacing around the room. Other people started to look at me, and finally after 30 minutes I saw Loona come out the room with a doctor and a nurse. "Is she ok?" I said immediately. "She's alright, we ran a couple tests and she is free of any diseases, also your baby is safe nothing was damaged, she just is going to have trauma of the event that occurred today." The doctor told me. I growled to myself and then the doctor ushered me into a room, guess it was my turn now.
"Your hand is completely gone and your snout is almost destroyed, tell us what happened sir."
"Uh...well when I was fighting my girlfriends rapist he managed to land good blows on me."
"Well your lucky we have a robotic hand spare." The doctor said to me.
"You do?" I responded
"Yes, because of your case it will be free of charge."
"Oh, thank you doc, what about my snout?"
"Well we will have to give you a metallic cover so it can fully heal in peace."
"Will it hurt?"
"No not at all, let me go get the items for you,"
"Alright" I sat there in silence worried for what was going to happen next especially with Loona. The doctor came in with my new hand and my snout cover. I sat there stiff so it would be a smooth process, once my snout cover was on I watched as the doctor attached my new hand to my arm. After about 10 minutes I moved my hand around and it felt really good. I walked out with the doctor and saw Loona in a wheelchair, I was absolutely bewildered. "She couldn't walk far before collapsing," the nurse said.
"How long is she gonna be in there for?" I asked waving my new hand at Loona.
"For a while, when she collapsed she broke a bone unfortunately."
"Worst day of my entire life..." Loona muttered.
"How much is it gonna cost?" I chirped
"Nothing, you guys have it really rough today so we're not charging either of you."
"Oh really? Thanks."
"Your free to go, be safe please" the nurse said stepping back. I grabbed the handle bars to Loona's wheelchair and I walked out pushing her.
"Your hand Alex, and your snout...is it gonna be ok?"
"Ah forget about me Loona, the real question is are you ok?"
"yea yea I'm fine but answer me also!"
"You don't look fine, I mean you always look fine, but like you know." I choked but she smiled so mission complete.
"I don't think I want to do Christmas anymore this year Alex."
"What? No way! Christmas is your favorite time of the year, I'm not gonna let this bad experience ruin the holiday season for us."
"But, I can't do anything look at me!"
"I don't look any better than you do Loona, I've got a robotic hand and a metal snout cover"
"Alright well I'll leave Christmas in your paws this year."
"Good, I won't let you down," I leaned down and gave her kiss. I pushed her all the way home and as we entered the room, I picked her up and set her down on the bed. Putting the wheel chair to the side I got in bed also. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and started to sleep, well so I thought. At around 1:00 in the morning I woke up to the sound of crying. I looked at Loona and she was crying but asleep. I turned around and put Loona in my arms while putting my head on her shoulder to comfort her. Eventually she stopped crying and fully fell asleep and so did I.
