Chapter 19: Christmas Tree

I woke up the next morning to see Onyx sitting on the floor. Loona was still asleep so I picked him up and put him in his crib. Since Christmas was getting closer I thought the logical thing to do was to get a Christmas Tree, I opened up my laptop and found a place where you can cut your own tree down not far from the house. I got up and picked up Onyx and he decided to slobber all over me. "Blegh" I said and he giggled. While Loona was asleep
I put Onyx in the car and took him to get more clothes. Once we arrived at the store I put him in the cart and took him around till I found the baby section. "Hey Onyx, you think your mom's gonna like this on you?" I said to him holding a sweater with a reindeer beanie. He stared at me and then said "Ploof" so I took that as a yes. I bought the boring items like food and stuff but then I came across something that caught my eye, There was a brand new Ps5 just calling my name. Now I know I came here for Onyx but I couldn't help myself so yes, I bought that and a couple games. After shopping I got a call from Loona and obviously I picked up.
"Alex?" She said
"Yea what's up." I said back
"Where are you and Onyx?"
"Oh I'm on my way back from the store"
"What did you get?"
"You'll have to wait and see"
"Ugh fine," and She hung up the phone. Once I parked the car I put Onyx in his new outfit and grabbed the extra stuff and walked inside. Loona was drinking a coffee while looking at her phone when she see me holding Onyx. "Awww he looks so cute!" She said excitedly.
"He needed a Christmas outfit so I got him this." I said
"Who's Mommy's little reindeer, who is it?" Loona said tickling Onyx.
"Pafuu" Onyx responded while spitting. I would slowly take the stuff I bought out and try to hide them but I wasn't that smooth. "What in the hell is that? Alex don't tell me you wasted money on that stupid playstation you wanted."
"No....I would never buy one without asking you."
"Alex, show me. If it's that fucking playstation, I'm gonna kill you."
"Hey! Don't cuss in front of Onyx!"
"THAT'S NOT WHAT'S IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW."
"HEY HEY WERE GONNA GO GET A CHRISTMAS TREE DON'T GET MAD."
"wait what? Really?"
"YES"
"Oh, well in that case let's go then."
"Satan, alright well get in the car." And with my life spared I hopped into the drivers seat and started the car. Loona was still kind of mad at me and I tried to give her a kiss but she shoved me away. "Cmon cheer up it was only 500 bucks," she growled at me and then looked away from me. "I'll give you lot's of cuddles tonight..., and I'll take you shopping for Christmas outfits." I said in an apologetic tone. She looked at me and punched me in the shoulder and said "Alright fine ," We finally got to the Christmas Tree place and we walked inside and out the back to get our tree. Onyx was very amused by all the trees since he kept wanting to grab them. "We need one like your height Alex," Loona said.
"Well yea cause if we get one your height it's gonna be too tiny." I snickered back
"Hey! I'm not that short!"
"It's ok that your short, it makes you 10x more adorable than you already are."
"hey stop it!" I looked back and she was turning red. Onyx starting to chew on a stick he managed to grab. Loona and I settled on a nice looking Christmas Tree that was close enough to my height. With a saw in hand I aligned the trolley against the tree, and began sawing away. The tree fell and Onyx started to clap his little paws. Walking back to get our tree shaken to remove the bugs and stuff Onyx started to whine.
"What is it baby?" Loona said as she began to cradled Onyx. He started to reach out to me and Loona instantly picked up on what he wanted.
"He wants his daddy to carry him," Loona said.
"Oh really? Ok then Loona you pull the trolley and carry the saw."
"Alright then, heres your son." She said and I put Onyx up by my shoulder and he began to suck his thumb. We got our tree shaken to remove any bugs and stuff, we paid for it but then just as we were about to leave Loona spotted a gift shop. "Alex wait! Stay here." She said and went inside the gift shop, "Women huh," I said to Onyx and he giggled. Loona came out with 4 bags of stuff and I stared at her blankly for a minute. "Don't worry I only bought a couple things, before we leave let's go take our first family picture over there!" I followed Loona and we sat down and Onyx sat in between both of us, he kept sucking his thumb and looked at both of us in confusion. Our picture got taken by some guy and surprisingly it was a good one, loading up the tree onto our car Loona and Onyx got inside while I secured the tree. I got in the car, tickled Onyx and gave Loona a kiss, started the car and drove off back home.
