I could feel Heidi staring at me for the rest of the day which was hard to avoid. Come on Ben. Keep yourself together. I thought. The principal stood at the stage and smiled down at us. 'We have seen that Cassius Theodorus was a mole for ESPIONAGE. And as his cousin, I could see that he was very suspicious. Anyway, I feel honoured to take this role and please, drop by to say hello!' Everyone froze. When he said the word cousin, everyone eyed him cautiously. When majority of the students left, I followed Ariarne to talk to the principal. 'Why hello, Miss Fowl.'

'You're going to see my father, aren't you?'

'Err- yes I am. I am sure that you are not allowed to go-'

'I'm coming.'

'But you have classes!'

'I passed in every one of them. No reason to do it again.' That made perfect sense, seeing she was very smart. The principal sighed. 'Alright.'

'Thanks Liam.'

His name was Liam. I cocked my head but Ariarne shook her head. ''Go to class Ben, you need that time.' She said. I huffed angrily and dragged myself to Professor Riot's classroom.

I got to say, I got better at bomb defusing. The wires were all I needed to work on but either than that, I got Bs and Cs in my tests. I smiled and I walked out of the classroom when someone stopped me. They had a strong amount of lavender perfume, which meant one person. Heidi.

'Why are you ignoring me?' Heidi asked.

I rose an eyebrow. 'Me? You're ignoring me!' I said. Heidi rolled her eyes. She took a moment to think and hesitated before she spoke. 'I-I have been horrible to you Ben today, but there's been something I wanted to tell you.'

'Hey Ben.' Said Ariarne out of nowhere, I jumped. Heidi shot her an annoyed glance. Ariarne stared at her coldly. I was somewhere between and looked confused. 'Leave, will you?'

'I was just about to! Hmph! Goodbye Ben.' Yelled Heidi, outraged.

'Wait!'

'Goodbye!'

I sighed. I looked over at Ariarne and she shrugged. 'She needed to tell me something!'

'Oh for the sake of myself and life Ben, it's simple enough to just guess! Heidi Zoe Markham likes you!' My eyes widened. For the briefest moment, I thought I heard a tinge of envy in Ariarne's voice. But I couldn't believe Heidi had a crush on me when it's only been a few months! No wonder, she looked annoyed and she hesitated. I tried to dodge the subject. 'How'd things go with Liam?'

'Alright. Father reckons he's innocent but the Xeprix will be watching and monitoring him carefully. I am also sure that he is well aware of this too.' She replied. I nodded in agreement. Ariarne looked hypnotic. I fell into the trap of love and shook my head. Ariarne frowned with disgust. 'Stop it. Whatever you're doing, it's disgusting.'

I immediately stopped. I had to talk to Heidi. 'Um Ariarne...'

'Hm?'

'I'm just going to talk to Heidi. You did leave her.'

Ariarne looked up at me and gave me a cold, hard stare. I gulped. Her sea blue eyes devoured me. 'Get going.' She mumbled. 'Never trust anyone Ben. Friends are tricks to the mind.' Ariarne warned. She gave me such a hard stare, she looked like a statue. I bolted and knocked on Heidi's door. She opened the door and gave me a look of hope. 'She told you... didn't she?' She whispered softly, as if embarrassed. She flushed pink. I flushed aswell. 'Err yes. The thing is, I just can't believe.... 2 months!'

Heidi blushed. 'I can't either Ben, and I'm sorry.' At that, she shut the door and left me alone.
