The Fowls seemed surprised that the senior agent, (yes I still don't know his name), was still alive. But, their faces were very hard to read, that I thought I was dreaming. However there was no time for that.  Ariarne coldly stared at him. The senior agent was in a worse state than Cassius, when he had fallen off the Harbour Bridge two months ago,  he had lost his pinky of his left hand and his right leg. Cadence charged at him and knocked him off his feet, Ariarne dashed to grab the gun and threatened Cassius with it, holding it to his head. 'Move and I'll shoot.'

'Sure, be that way.' He chuckled back lightly. He flipped and landed with ease. Ariarne growled and began fighting furiously. Everyone in the gallery was now screaming and panicking. Nathan knocked the NGV's security guards out and the alarm sounded. Heidi and I were in shock, that I realised we weren't helping at all. 'We should go help.' I said to her. She glared at me angrily. 'You only figured that out now?' She shouted. We ran to Cadence's aid. A little weaker than Ariarne, her punches and kicks weren't enough. The senior agent held the gun to her chest. 'Now now, I don't want to fight you, I want to kill you. So stop and argh!'

I had come to Cadence's rescue and charged myself into him. He was knocked off his feet and Cadence immediately got back on hers. She put a calming hand on top of mine. 'I got this.' She said. I couldn't protest, she knocked me aside and gave a cold and icy glare toward the agent. He realised what was happening and cursed. 'Don't you mesmerise me! That is forbidden- mmf...' He had drifted off to sleep, snoring away. Nearby, Cassius had beaten Ariarne in her own game and laughed like a maniac. I turned to see what had happened.

It was probably better if I didn't look.

My eyes widened in fear as I realised what had happened. Ariarne fell to the ground, blood slowly dripping over her. Nathan stopped battling the security and rushed to her aid. The crowd watching us had evacuated and we heard their screams of terror. I sprinted to Ariarne and knelt beside her. No... No!  I thought. Tears were gradually filling my eyes as I saw the hole on the small of her back. 'Ariarne... please wake up! This mission isn't complete without you...' I coughed.  I barely knew Ariarne, but she was essential in missions. She was the key to winning! Not only that, Ariarne was my crush. However now, she was motionless. Nathan put his hand to her nose and chest. He sighed of relief. 'She's still breathing, but it's shallow. Cadence! Take care of her. We need to finish the prat off.' Nathan spat with hate. I watched Cadence carry her and I stood up and turned around to help Nathan. Behind me, was Heidi.

She was shocked and overwhelmed. She wasn't crying but in mixture of the sadness and surprise, I could also see a tinge of envy as a frown flickered on her face. I glared at her as I realised this. She was envious at this? She was envying her? Right Now? Heidi noticed what I noticed and her shock disappeared. She gave me a look of pity but at the same time, shame. We locked eyes and her gaze shifted from mine. She ran to help Nathan and I noticed I should as well.

Cassius yelled in pain and Nathan gave him a look an expression of fury. 'Don't you EVER lay hands on my family!' He roared. Cassius sniggered. 'Why? Because you need little Ariarne to help  with everything you do OW!' Nathan had ripped the fake leg off Cassius. Heidi gave a confused look. 'How's that supposed to hurt?'

'I don't know! It just does. Hold on... ARIARNE?' Cassius' eyes expanded twice their normal size. We turned around curious and noticed it was nothing and Cassius joking around. But the next time we looked, Cassius was gone.

This was so rushed, I don't know if it even makes sense anymore. I might update this chapter if things get too confusing. Please let me know if it does.
