"Love.. let's go." Bulong ni Knight and hinawakan ako sa shoulders ko.
"Did we... win na?" Tanong ko sakanya. Nawala na silang lahat.. mayroon pa ba'ng mawawala?
"I don't know.." Sabi niya.
"Knight... I feel so bad.. lahat sila namatay pero ako hindi." Sabi ko sakanya. "Ako lang yung naka survive sa amin... Feeling ko nandaya ako sa mga games. Lahat sila natalo e, ako lang yung nanalo sa amin. Nine kami e. Nine kaming pumasok pero one nalang yung naka survive sa amin.."
"Shh... We're just the same." Sabi niya sakin and niyakap ako.
"Hindi ko alam kung masaya ba ako or hindi e. Basta mixed. I am happy because i survived. I am sad because they died. I am scared because i might be the next. fudge life. Overtime na ba silang lahat? Kaya ba kami pinapunta dito kasi super overtime na sila just like what Jaime said?"
"Love.."
"Players please proceed to the other room." Sabi nung robot.
Tumingin muna ako kay Jaime and tinanggal yung arrow na nasa chest niya. What if hindi siya nag stay sa position niya kanina? Makaka survive ba siya?
"Let's go, Love." Sabi ni Knight.
I just nod at him and nag bye kay Jaime kahit hindi naman niya ako naririnig. Baka humiwalay na yung soul niya sa body niya and naka tingin lang samin..
Sabay kaming lumabas ni Knight sa room na 'yon and napunta naman kami sa isang room na may malaking hourglass ulit.
"Break time.." Bulong ni Knight.
Umupo siya and sumandal sa wall. Ganoon din ang ginawa ko and tumingin lang sa hourglass. Maya-maya, napa tingin ako kay Knight and naka tingin lang siya sa picture ng isang girl na bata. That picture...
"Knight.. saan mo na ano 'yan?" Tanong ko sakanya.
"Ah.. this picture?" Tanong niya habang naka tingin sa picture.
"Hm."
"This is my best friend... Velle. I met her in Laguna. It's summer at that time kaya nasa grandma ko kami and I was reading a book under the big tree at the park then this girl popped up in front of me and start asking me questions.. then we became friends. She was only seven years old then and I was eight. Every summer, nag lalaro kami then one day..." Long pause... He's sad.
"She's gone. I always waited for her at the park and in front of their house but her grandmother said they'll never come back. But I waited. Every fucking day." He stopped again and stared at the picture.
"Days, months, years... I waited for her to come back but she never showed up. Maybe she doesn't know me anymore. Wherever she is... I hope she's okay. She's my first love nga e. I remember.. we got married but no one knows. I was ten and she was nine when I marry her. Only the sun, the sky, the bird, and the big tree at the park know. I buy a ring. A matching ring and sabay naming sinuot 'yon. We promised each other no matter what happens, we're still husband and wife. And ayon na yung last na kita namin. Siguro ayaw niya sakin kaya hindi na siya nag pakita haha.. Maybe she already has a boyfriend... But I'll still wait for her to come back... to me." Sabi niya.
Same... Knight. Same.
"Alam mo kung anong nangyari sakanya kaya hindi siya naka punta?" Tanong ko.
"No." Sabi niya and tinago sa pocket niya yung picture.
