atsumu is 18 when he has his first kiss.

it was with suna rintaro, his best friend (he drifted apart with ginjima and kosaku after entering high school).

atsumu put up the front that he didn't care much about the fact that he's never kissed anyone, but if he was being honest, he felt lame. it seemed like everyone around him had kissed multiple people.

suna had kissed people before, but it was something that only lasted a few seconds. he approached atsumu with more nerves than he cared to admit, asking if said boy could help him get better at kissing only for atsumu to tell him that he hadn't even had his first kiss yet.

this shocked suna probably more than it should. atsumu was very popular with both girls and boys, and had been on plenty of dates, so the fact that he had never kissed somebody came as a shock.

"really?"

"yeah," atsumu shrugged, laying down on sunas bed.

"really?" suna's mouth opened and closed, atsumu thought he resembled a fish.

"yes, suna," atsumu repeated, "i've never kissed someone before,"

suna thought for a bit before talking again, "can i kiss you?"

atsumu choked on his spit, "what?" he coughed, as suna hit him on his back.

"can i kiss you? like can i be your first kiss?"

"what? why? can't find a girl who wants to kiss you?"

suna blinked blankly, ignoring atsumu's attempt to tease him, "i wanna get better at kissing and i'm sure you wanna know what it feels like,"

"but... we're friends?" atsumu sputtered, "bros, you know,"

the younger rolled his eyes, "so? i trust you, you trust me. you don't have to if you don't want to, obviously,"

atsumu thought about it for a moment, before shrugging, and sitting up, "we can do it,"

"you sure?"

"yes, rin, we can kiss," atsumu rolled his eyes, but his heart was full of love. atsumu wasn't an emotional person and he would never say it out loud, but he loved his friends; he loved suna, and trusted him almost a hundred percent (almost - suna was still an ass who loved pulling pranks, and atsumu knew not to trust everything he did).

"okay then," suna nodded, slowly connecting their lips.

it was a short kiss... actually, it was more of a peck. just a quick touch of their lips.

"was that okay?" suna asked. he didn't want atsumu to feel uncomfortable.

atsumu nodded. he didn't feel anything, just suna's lips on his.

"wanna go again?" suna asked.

atsumu shrugged, "sure,"

this time, the kiss was different. it was deeper, and atsumu is pretty sure some tongue was involved. kissing is overrated, atsumu thought. he was following suna, letting the younger take control. this time, atsumu pulled away first.

"how was that?" suna ran a hand through his hair, messing it up.

atsumu shrugged again.

"don't shrug," suna punched him on the arm, making atsumu chuckle. "was it nice?"

atsumu cut suna off, "it was fine, overrated, but fine,"

"overrated?"

"yeah, i mean it's nice, but i don't get all the rage,"

suna looked at atsumu, "you're a weirdo," he dumped himself onto his bed again, turning on his tv.

"i am completely normal, thank you very much," atsumu stuck his tongue out.

"are you a child?" suna asked, regretting his words instantly as atsumu began arguing loudly.
