When Izuku walked into the classroom, everyone could see the difference. Izuku was naturally a blinding boy but when he walked in, the lights could've been turned off and it still would've been too bright. His bags weren't as bad and he had a skip in his step when making his way to his desk.
Izuku wasn't the only one where people noticed change, Bakugo was calm. When he walked in, it was no "HEY FUCKERS!" It was just a little nod to his friends to acknowledge them.
With the little difference from the both of them, everyone felt at ease and the morning went by smoothly. Lunch time rolled around quickly and the five boys made their way to the canteen in peace. "So how was your first night Izuku?" "It was great thank you Denki and I can't wait for tonight." "Me neither it's going to be great!"
They both smiled brightly and continued eating their food then headed to their afternoon lesson which was heroics. The lesson was a basic combat training to help with combat styles to compliment their quirks.
Once it was finished, they all changed and Denki and Izuku made their way to Izuku's home. While heading there, Denki couldn't keep a conversation and always put his attention to other things.
Izuku never noticed this before but he didn't mind it one bit, if anything, Denki's energised actions only gave Izuku a buzz of excitement.
The night was quite normal at first. They both showered and changed into their pjs. The tv was on the news but neither were watching, they were both just simply sitting on the sofa chatting away. Denki however, started to get nervous, he felt obligated to tell Izuku the truth.
"Hey Izuku I have something I really need to tell you and please don't think of me differently." "Sure what's up Denki?"
"I have adhd so that's why I always get distracted, not many people know."
"Oh okey, you wanna play somewhere video games?" Denki was shocked for sure, Izuku accepted him so easily and then just went by as if nothing happened. That night they enjoyed playing their video games. The hour was getting late but Izuku just needed to ask. "Hey Denki what are some like things that help you focus?" "I use highlighters usually for notes but majority of the time I lose concentration in lesson so then I only get notes for like the first ten minutes of every lesson."
"Okey well what if I share my notes with you and from now on I'll use different coloured pens and highlighters to help you focus?" Denki then let the waterworks happen and he leaped into Izuku's arms saying multiple "thank you"s to the boy.Izuku wasn't quite sure why he was being thanked so much but he was just happy to make his friends happy and to be able to help them in any way possible.
Izuku knows how hard life can be as he's experienced it first hand from childhood as well as all the way through of him being a vigilante. Sure he misses his old family, but the one he was able to create makes him feel so much better and free.
They spent the rest of the night, eating snacks and playing games with a face mask in between. The night rounded off nicely with a movie and the boys snuggled up with one another.
Izuku once again didn't have any nightmares and woke up to the peaceful noise of his alarm and Denki's snoring. Izuku squealed at the cuteness but sadly waking up Denki is the process. "Oh I'm sorry Denki but we need to get ready for school."
Denki did have to be dragged out of bed but once out of his warm comfortable spot, he was able to dress quickly. And with another night of the boys' plan, they were off to another day of school.
