Part 4
the room!

The hand on her arm promptly tightens. A fair warning from the young man who miraculously catches a bait on the loose. Lisa looks up at him with dread, eyes watering in unconscious plead to release the bruising grip.

"Let go." She forces her skinny wrist out from him, and the persistent man is delaying her futile escape, still holding her in short captive. Lisa sneaks a glance over her shoulder to expect the man named Yugyeom tailing her, but strangely there was no one behind. He's gone to find another route.

And she's on the rocks.

"Please, you gotta have let me go. I don't care if he's a friend of yours, and he's after me. But I'm on the dangerous line here. He might kill me!"

"He's not like that." The plaid shirt man pushes her back to the cemented ground, her knees scraping the sharp surface lamentably. But that isn't something she couldn't handle.

"Fucking let me go!"  Lisa cries out, dragging him with her. Her strapping boots hits his abdomen in swift and he folds over with a raging discomfort.

A lone street lamp post provides her light as she stands up, occasionally limping to walk far. The open house is no longer on the list of the place she'll want to stay for the horrendous night. Clothes stained and dirty skin. Lisa is still on wary to avoid another stranger. Particularly that one person.

She knows someone's lurking eyes are on her.

Labored breathing, bleeding knees, she spots a dumpster. On the side of the files of trash lays a rusting hammer. Mighty yet old. Might be a good striking tool for the skilled, but useless for the cowards.

She should've picked it up sooner. But perhaps, she is the coward.

Strong arms tangles around her form. A cold palm was threatening to crush her jaw if she'll fight another jerk against this man. She's a weaker opponent, too tired and numb. Her energy is somehow a single thread in a used rope. So instead, Lisa stands completely still and calm. Mimicking a surrender.

There will be no going home tonight.

"You and I need to talk discreetly. Though, I assumed you already know why." His hushed tone is mocking her sweetly.

Yugyeom yanks her towards the dreading motel, making her walk ahead of him pushing Lisa with restrained arms. The two-storey place seems like a specter's territory. Devoid of any brighter lights. She could say the same at the whole town.

No one's around.

Even if she will scream for nights and days, there are no other ears to hear her. Lisa just falls down a rabbit hole of no guaranteed return.

He made her climb the steep stairs, every step reminding her of a death march. Her muscles practically burning in a need of rest. Upon reaching a beige room, clean enough to appreciate, he instantly pushes her inside.

The room smells like dust and grapevine candles. A makeshift bed by the window. No actual beds. A single restroom on the other side, a wooden table and decent chairs.

Lisa hears metal noises, too preoccupied to notice it was for her. She cuts a glance to her wrist and sees handcuffs given to her like a damn bracelet.

"Are you serious? You're a fucking cop?"

Yugyeom scoffs boastfully. "Hardly. I can't stand those crooks."

He moves to lock the door, grabbing a chair on his way back to offer her one.

"Sit down." He casually says.

Red on the face, Lisa glares at him. Like she wants to stab a boning knife into his throat and leaves him in this sketchy room to rot. Instead, she didn't move.

"Fucking sit down or you'll lose a leg!"

She watches him drag another chair, positioning it in front of the empty table across her. He sits down and dig out his handgun for measures.

Lisa lowers down on her chair with a heavy heart.

"Good. We're negotiating. That's what I want to see here."

On his jacket's pocket, he fishes out a pack of cheap cigarettes. He takes one and places the stick in between his lips with practiced ease, like he is used to. Yugyeom lights the stick of nicotine, dauntless to inhale one.

She hates the smell of it.

"Now tell me about how the fuck did you manage to kill a wanted hitman like Jungkook. Hmm? Against you? Half of the people in this damn country are after him, just for the golden price. And you singlehandedly kill him with just a damn ax."

Lisa remains unmoving. Mime.

"You should know by now that I'm after the reward. You took it away from me, and now I'll take you for me."

"What?" Her eyes were cold, her skin soiled, and the rest of her body were screaming with heed.

Yugyeom leans in forward. For her to see that his face has angelic features, yet leonine if you look a bit more closer.

"You'll stay here as my captive in return for the money you deprived me from."
