"I like your hoodie." Stephen said, a foot from Gray.

"I don't think the people do." He smiled, "They've been shooting my death glares all day, the girls have. Wondering which of their boyfriends' I hooked up with."

Stephen felt an odd feeling in his chest, he was so drawn to Gray for a hardly any reason at all. He hadn't even wished to be friends with him for the longest time. Yet here he was in Stephen's hoodie, joking about how everyone thinks he hooked up with someone.

Stephen let out an airy chuckle. His head hurt still, but just seeing Gray made him feel better.

Gray's smiled dropped, "Are you alright Stephen?"

"Yea I'm fine." He smiled a bit more, ignoring the growing pain.

He looked concerned, keeping his hands close together and twiddling his thumbs.

"Are you su-"

An alarm goes off on Gray's phone. It must be time for him to go and tutor.

Stephen waves Gray on and smiles before turning to walk down the hallway, not daring to look back in fear that Gray might be standing there looking back at him.

Probably not. He's already moved on, he has better things to do. All you have to do is go back to your flat and wait on him.

Stephen sighed, even though he hated doing it, he needed to go back to the flat. Even though that was all he had to do, he despised having to do it. I really need some extracurriculars don't I?

...

...

The bus ride was a blurry and soon all Stephen found himself doing was crawling into bed and kicking the covers off because it was too hot.

Is there a fan in here? Probably not. It's fine.

He reached for his nightstand drawer, pulling it open to search for a bottle of Advil. His hands fumbled through the drawer turning the whole thing upside down until he found the bottle. The plastic was cool in his hand.

With a shaky hand he shook four from the bottle, putting three back, he swallowed one dry, without water. He felt really unwell, It'd be fine though. It'd be fine in a little bit wouldn't it?

...

...

He felt cold, really cold. How long had it been since he'd drifted off to sleep.

He lifted a hand to his forehead, it was really really warm. Though the headache had left for the most part, it seemed that he was left with a fever still.

Yet he was cold.

He reached for the blanket that he'd kicked into the floor earlier, when he'd gotten home, and tried to swaddle up in it. He was still wearing jeans, post school-day attire, so warmth wasn't really an option. The thought of changing clothes had crossed his mind once or twice; though he eventually decided he was too tired to care.

He had just got a cold of sorts, yea that's all it was.

It was just a fever, and a headache. It'd be fine in a couple hours.

A couple hours... how long had he been asleep?

He reached for his phone on his nightstand, but to his surprise it wasn't there. Sitting up, he looked around the room, it was in disarray.

His backpack had been half heartedly thrown on the ground, and his jacket tossed along with his phone, which also found residence on the floor.

Stephen stood, and immediately felt sick, sick and dizzy.

Somehow, he managed to stumble over and get his phone, and then make it back to his bed.

Ugh. It's alright, It's fine.

He clicked the on button on his phone, 4:29 it read.

Gray would be back in around an hour wouldn't he? I should pull myself together. I'm fine after all.

Stephen pulled his blanket closer and soon found himself drifting off to sleep once more. He tired to fight it, knowing it would only make time pass faster, and make him see Gray sooner. He loved to see Gray, and to talk with him, but he didn't want him to see him acting all pathetic like this.

He sat up, no he couldn't go back to sleep now, no.

His lightheadedness had disappeared for the most part, so he got up, with a change of clean clothes, and made his way to the bathroom. A shower might help. A cold one might suck out some heat and lessen the fever I guess.

As the cool water touched his skin, he could feel degrees of heat leaving his body. He had been cold before hand and knew he'd be freezing when he got out, but perhaps it would be worth it to not be a complete, dying, mess when Gray got here.

That being said, the only reason Gray would notice would be if he came to check on Stephen. Why would he check on me? Honestly, I guess I really don't have a reason to be embarrassed because he won't come check on me. I'm sure he'll just be happy to have an afternoon of silence to get work done, without being bothered.

There was a smaller voice in his head that answered with, he'll come check on you because you guys are friends now, and friends check on each other, don't they? He looked awful worried when you dashed off.

Or I guess he was worried when I made a scene. Did I make a scene? Its hard to remember small details. God, this whole day's felt like a fever dream.

He turned the water off, and soon felt colder than before he'd turned it on. He quickly dried and dressed. Putting on a nice white tee shirt that was slightly crinkled, and a pair of red sports shorts. Hopefully these clothes could adapt to however he felt now, or in an hour, or whenever It'd be when he felt either too hot or too cold again.

Ugh.

He laid down in bed once more, pulling his blanket a bit closer. And soon, despite his desperate efforts, he answered the calls of sleep.

Hey guys I'm back!!! I don't know if y'all read my main story, but if you have you already know why I took so long to update again.

Long story short, I lost my charger, so I decided that between going to school everyday I would go to the Tech store an hour away and get a new one. That's all well and good except for the fact that they didn't have one, really bummed me out. I was gonna give up, but that's when I remembered Amazon was a thing and I scoured it for a charger that would fit my computer. AND AFTER A NEARLY TWO MONTHS HERE IT IS.

Anyway thank y'all for reading, expect regular updates again, (But not too regular seeing as how school exists bleck) Have a wonderful whenever friends, bye.
