Stephen leaned back into the dining table, small and round, tucked away in the corner. A slight smirk tugged on his lips as he watched Gray. He stood, still wrapped in his blanket, at the counter, moving his popcorn from the bag to a large bowl. Stephen's smile was brought on by the slight red flush of Gray's cheeks, it'd remained from their previous embrace. Overall, for some reason unknown to him, it gave Stephen blossoms of excitement and joy.
"Are you just gonna stand there and laugh at me Stephen?" Gray attempted a harsh tone, as if he were truly hurt by Stephen's 'mocking'. His own smile gave away his lack of hostility though, as well as his little giggles.
He cleared his throat, "Do you need my help?"
"No no no, just stand there and look pretty, I got it." Gray rolled his eyes, sighing as they drifted back over to Stephen in the end. Locking on his for only a moment before he darted them away. He grumbled something in between waves of pink blush, though Stephen couldn't exactly make out the words.
Stephen smiled an even stupider smile, "You think I'm pretty?" He cooed.
"Stephen I'm going to kill you."
The auburn slid from his barstool silently, his socked feet aiding him in such. Wordlessly, he made his way to the small boy standing at the kitchen counter, engulfed in a plush, soft, blanket. "You wouldn't," He laughed, wrapping his arms around the smaller's waist.
Hands that were carefully transporting popcorn paused, "If you make me drop my food on the floor then I absolutely would," Gray often spoke in harsh threats, which further tempted Stephen to make him drop it on the floor to see what would happen. No, he wasn't that mean.
Stephen placed a kiss on Gray neck, adoring the freedom that using the first one had given him, reaching over the boy's shoulder and snatching a piece of popcorn.
"You're so bold Stephen," He laughed, eyes fixed on his popcorn and no where else, "Your audacity towards me will be the reason for your defeat."
"What're you going to do?" Stephen asked, a silent taunt. He waited with a smile for the next death threat, maybe something creative this time. The harshness in Gray's voice was one of his favorite things.
Gray's hands paused, putting down his full bowl and empty bag. They stood out quite prominently against the dark of their black marble countertop. His plush blanket hung limply along his shoulders, only Stephen's embrace was keeping it in place. He spun around on socked feet so that he was perfectly eye level with Stephen's chest. "It's not what I'll do Stephen," A soft hand took Stephen's face, tilting it downward as he had once at the bus stop, until they were within inches of each other. Stephen turned as red as Gray had been, "It's the question of, what will you do?"
Stephen's hand pressed against Gray's lower back, through his shirt, the other nearly shuddered. Gray understood that Stephen couldn't do it right now, and he was fine with that. However, somebody needed to get their boy in control. That someone just so happened to be Gray. "You're so precious Stephen," He cooed, darting a glance at the boy's lips before releasing his face and turning back to his bowl. "I'll keep taunting you, or you can shut me up," Gray added the last bit with a sly smile, always taunting Stephen. At the very thought, the other took no time to mimic the previous action, taking the smaller's chin and tilting it upwards slightly. His thumb ran across Gray's pink lips cautiously.
"Uhm," The words died on his tongue, "I-i.. can?" Stephen managed to choke out through the barrage of misfunction and error pop-ups that were clouding his better judgement. From behind silver bangs, Gray blushed harder, this was unexpected. He too tried to mouth words, though after a second's failure, he just nodded. Stephen was somewhat unfamiliar with love, or gestures nowadays. Gray made him want to try his best. For a moment, he wondered if Gray was well-versed in such topics, seeing as how the boy had flirting down and talked casually of hook-up rumors and slut-shaming. Either way, nervousness spread through the auburn's body like a weed.
