Stephen's eyes opened slowly, blinking at the darkness of the living room. The only source of light, being the TV that chattered in the background. The light had come in from the windows earlier and made turning on the actual light unnecessary. Surprisingly, the TV light and sound was faint. Almost as if at this point, it was irrelevant. Truly it didn't matter.

Since he had something far more important on his mind.

Gray looked like a doll, perfect. Even with lack of light, he could tell that much. His face had pressed sweetly into Stephen's neck. Stephen had fallen asleep to the feeling of Gray's fingertip running circles over his chest. His fingers brushed Gray's back as he moved to grab his phone, the other squeaked something of a complaint at the movement. Stephen's phone screen glowed brightly as he flicked it on, causing him to squint his eyes.

3:27am, it read.

"Time?" The other asked with a sigh, opening his eyes and gradually adapting to the darkness of the room. His voice was sweet, and calm. For a brief moment, a question brushed his mind, How many times had Alex heard his voice like that?

Stephen pushed the thought away, jealousy was not his color and he didn't care what the answer was. "Early," He answered with a smile, Gray's soft blanket still covered him, and his legs which he'd slightly curled as to fit under it.

"How dare you wake me up at 'early'," Gray began in protest, though as he tucked his face closer to Stephen's torso, rather than neck, and slightly shifted his body, as his complaints dialed down. "I won't be able to go back to sleep,"

Stephen didn't exactly believe that, Gray sounded like he was already on the verge of sleep. Maybe he was already asleep. Stephen loved it, the little quirk of expression in his voice as he emphasized points without moving his hands; the softness of Gray's hair that pressed against his jawline; the warmth. He wondered for a moment if he was simply really touched starved, though, since never in his life had he felt so clearly about someone, he decided it wasn't feelings driven out of desperation. "I'm so sorry Gray Yeon," He joked, however, in reality, he would've done the same thing over again just to hear the fondness in his voice.

"Liar," He hummed, sounding only a little irritated. "Always lying to me, when will you learn?" Gray stirred slightly, as if he'd contemplated getting up, then decided against it.

As if by some otherworldly instinct, Stephen's hand repositioned to Gray's upper back rather than lower. To silently say, "Stay please." He hadn't even thought about it, which in itself was a bit more comforting, since if he hadn't thought, then Gray couldn't read his thoughts. Maybe he could read instincts and intentions too, he was pretty great. Then came the hesitation, as he lifted any force, light as it was, from the other. His fingertips barely graced the comfortable fabric of the shirt Gray was wearing. It was black, like his blanket.

"Stephen, you'll kill me," Gray said, in a voice much clearer than before. Less drowsy with sleep and more as if he'd actually decided to wake up, "And we should probably stop sleeping on the couch."

"Why?" He whined in response, they didn't have to get up. They could just lay here all day, however, school was in a couple hours. Maybe they couldn't lay here all day.

Gray giggled, his face was already closer to Stephen's chest then neck, he shifted and kissed Stephen's collar bone, which had been slightly exposed due to the dip in his shirt's neck and the slight pull of Gray's sleeping body. If he could've blushed harder, he would've. Really. "I didn't have dinner," Gray responded, moving off of Stephen and the couch in general with an incredible carefulness. "I want something to eat in honor of early," Even after just having woken up, he moved gracefully, slipping out of the blanket, and leaving it with Stephen, and making his way to the kitchen.
