Five had picked up the other body that landed with him and threw it over his shoulder. They could see that the other was also a boy, but wore a mask that concealed his face and hair. Five grunted at the weight but glared harshly at Luther when he gingerly offered to carry the other boy. They stopped in the kitchen and Five gently placed the unconscious boy in a chair with armrests so he wouldn't topple over onto the floor.
And they just all sat there, watching one of their long-lost brothers search through cabinets, pulling out bread and peanut butter.
"What's the date? The exact date." Five clarified, untwisting the bread bag's holder and pulling out two slices.
"The 24th," Vanya answered, glancing at the unconscious body at the other end of the table.
"Of what?" Five asked impatiently, grabbing a bag of marshmallows and tossing them behind him and onto the table, next to the peanut butter.
"March." She added.
Five nodded to himself, "Good." and continued making his sandwich.
"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther spoke up but didn't get any response from Five, who just laid out the two pieces of bread symmetrically onto the wooden cutting board. "It's been 17 years." He snapped, standing up.
Five issued him a glance. "It's been longer than that." He scoffed and spatial jumped through his brother with a vaguely blue glow to reach up on top of a set of cabinets to get a snack packet of salted sunflower seeds.
Luther stared at the now-empty now space in front of him. "I haven't missed that." He muttered.
"Where'd you go?" Diego asked without moving his gaze from the patterned carpet on the floor.
"The future," Five answered. "It's shit, by the way."
"Called it!" Klaus gloated, re-crossing his legs the other way around on the table to ease the ache that built up.
Allison shook her head, "Excuse me, but are we going to ignore the boy? The unconscious, masked boy in the kitchen right now?" She pointed towards the other boy, who had since slumped over to the side and who also was wearing clothes too big for him.
Five gave her a cursory glance, then picked up the sunflower seed packet and tore off the tear strip. Opening it, he waved the bag under where the boy's nose would be.
The boy jerked to life and everyone jumped and Diego held a knife in a throwing position. The boy hurriedly yanked off his mask and grabbed the bag, mauling the contents inside. A shock of messy, white-tinted blonde was revealed.
"So, judging by previous experiences, it's safe to say that I'm not the only one seeing Feliks, right?" Klaus asked with a breathy laugh.
"Should've listened to the old man." Five hummed, ignoring his siblings' silent crisis, and opened the fridge to grab a carton of milk from its bare effects. "You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." He said, opening the jar of peanut butter. He paused, looking up at Klaus. "Nice dress." He commented.
"Oh, well, dánke," Klaus said, feeling the edges of the skirt.
"Lyubov!" Number Eight, known as Feliks, piped up. "You sound the same as when we were kids!" He grinned. "So cute!"
Five scowled, but his cheeks tinted just a bit as he slammed a glass of milk in front of him. "And you're expanding your o vowels again." He retorted.
"My accent was thicker as a little rebenok; you know this, Lyubov." He smiled and stuffed a fistful of seeds into his mouth, munching happily.
