"Aria!" Little Ivy screamed while chasing the girl up the stairs. Ivy finally caught up to her only to see that she fell onto the hardwood floor. Ivy sat down next to the girl and pulled her up. Both of them laughing fell back on the floor. Ivy sat up and out of breathe said "You okay?" The brunette asks while lending a hand to help the blonde up. Aria took the girls hand and they both sat up when out of nowhere Aria's parents walked in "Aria we need to talk, Ivy could you please go home?" She told the two. They were confused at first but agreed. Ivy got her stuff and started going home. "Bye!" She said before closing the door. "What's up mom?" Aria asks with a worried look. After Aria went inside her parents room for them to talk to her she came back crying. She got the news that they would have to move away. She tried everything to stop it but she couldn't. She didn't want to leave her best friend behind. Her parents told her it's final and they aren't gonna change it. They would be leaving tomorrow and then she could say her last goodbye to Ivy. She couldn't believe it. All night long she was sobbing at the idea of leaving her best friend. Then tomorrow came, she would have to say goodbye to Ivy. Ivy came over and they went in her room. Aria tried to explain everything calmly to Ivy but they both ended sitting on her bed and sobbing. Sobbing for what felt like hours, trying to change it, getting mad and then they had a little fight. Thank god it wasn't a huge one but they didn't leave their friendship on a good end. When she was in the car driving away from her friend she could see Ivy crying and screaming but she couldn't do anything. That was eight years ago..
Aria moved in a small town at first and lived there for about eight years until today that she was moving back to her hometown. She never forgot about Ivy, but she lost hope in finding her. Since she thought that Ivy could have already moved away. Aria changed a lot since then, She dyed her hair red, got a nose piercing and overall her body and looks changed. Aria loves to draw, play the ukulele and skate. Growing up she never had interest in boys, she soon figured out about the different sexualities and labeled herself as a lesbian. She didn't tell her parents since they were very judgmental. Her parents neglected her but she was sixteen so she could take care of herself. She got diagnosed with depression and anxiety when she was about fifteen years old. She didn't have many friends, she did meet this one girl who lived a few blocks away and was also transferring to the school Aria was. She didn't know much about the school. Honestly it seemed like a regular high school.
Ivy on the other hand never moved away. She moved houses a couple of times but she has been living in the same house for about four years now. She never forgot about Aria, she would always think of her. Ivy had changed even more since then. She was still a brunette but with some blonde in her hair, she got a septum and her body had changed. Ivy loved to read, play the electric guitar, she could sing but she never did in front of anyone, she also owned a motorcycle. From a young age Ivy already knew she was a lesbian. People she told kept telling her that it's a stupid phase but eight years later nothing has changed. She had a girlfriend in the past, Quinn. But they broke up two years in the relationship since Quinn found that she was straight. She never told her mom about any of this. Since her parents divorce her mom started drinking again. Which lead to her coming home drunk, yelling, throwing shit and even more. Because of this Ivy started a bad habit of smoking, she didn't really drink but not that she never did. Ivy was diagnosed to depression when she was only thirteen. Her mom just kept telling her that shes just being lazy but we all know that wasn't really it. She had two other friends, Maeve and Lilith. The two were very close which leads to leaving Ivy out of some things. She went to the high school "Starstruck high." Just a casual high school, not anything special.
It was a rainy sunday. Tomorrow school starts again for the people in this town. Aria was laying in on her bed with Willow as they were talking about how it's gonna be like going to a different high school. They were laughing and telling each other things. When suddenly Willow looked up at the girl. "Yeah i'm also pansexual how bout you?." She asks with a curious face. "I haven't really told anyone but i'm a lesbian."Aria said while fidgeting with her hands. Willow smiled and gave her friend a hug. "Hey it's okay i wont tell anyone." She said while giving her a soft smile. The two stayed talking for a bit when Willow got a call from her dad telling her she needs to be home. "I gotta go but i'll see you tomorrow!" She said before leaving Aria's room.
Willow got a call from her dad saying she had to go. Now it's just me and my thoughts. I honestly can't believe that school starts tomorrow. I get really bad anxiety with changes in my life so i'm pretty nervous but at least i'll have Willow by my side. I still think about her everyday. Ivy. She probably moved away by now, she also probably forgot about me. When i think about her it makes me smile, it was so good back then. But i have to push away these thoughts and focus on school tomorrow. I wanna make a good impression since last year there was a group of boys that kept catcalling me and sexualizing me which made me insecure but i hope this year it can change. I was already in my pajamas and ready to sleep so i'll probably go to sleep then. My parents aren't here as usual and my sister is off to college. I look at my phone one more time until i turn it off and go to bed. I couldn't sleep for a while with all the thoughts roaming through my mind but i calmed myself down as i drifted to sleep.
I was on my bed laying when i looked at the time. It was about 12pm when i hear my mom yelling at the tv again. She's always fucking drunk and it's so irritating. Tomorrow was the first day of school and honestly i'm not ready for it. I could get good grades effortlessly so that didn't matter. But i still hated going there. And again my mind goes off to one particular girl. Aria. My childhood best friend. Even tho she moved away eight years ago i cant stop thinking about how happy i was before she had to move. Everything went down hill after that. But i have to stop thinking about her. Every year i wonder if she would move back but it never happens so i should just give it up. I'm already ready for bed so i guess i'll just sleep. I look over to my phone and open instagram. I look over to Maeve's and Lillith's story and saw them posting pictures of themself saying how excited they are about school starting and wondering if there would be any cute guys. Maeve and Lillith were cool people but they also could be very annoying. But they are the only ones i have so i guess it will do. I close my phone as i lay down trying to clear my mind but instead i keep replaying old memories. It just keeps happening. While stressing over these things i didn't even realize but i was drifting to sleep.
Both of the girls fast as sleep waiting for the events that will take place tomorrow.
