Significance of Geographical Factors in Economic Development

It is an unsaid rule and sense that one's life, particularly an organization, reflects its development and evolution with its correlated geographical factors especially in the location it is settled with. That the development and progress it undergoes is due to how its environment makes it plausible, from the roots to the stem, the fruits, and its end. 

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is an organization of Member States located in the Southeast part of Asia. It aims to integrate and promote harmony beyond the diverse cultural differences and intensify the connection across political and social differences. What common denominator that the Member States share, despite their multiple differences, is their aim for unity and peace while maximizing the allocated resources they are blessed with. 

As the ASEAN is located in a very competitive location, it is a smart condition for them to maximize the abundant resources they can yield. From the land resources, geothermal resources, forest materials, and as much as the water resources, specifically the seawater that surrounds the region, it is not possible to enjoy simple and traditional comfort living. 

From the raw materials it can produce, to the tourist destinations it can be proud of, up to the creatures, living things, and the variety of species in the ecosystem it protects and the cultural heritage it is entangled with, Southeast Asia is indeed known for its abundant resources and rich culture and practices that open other nations for various possibilities, and this lead to another advantage in terms of trade and commerce as it serves as the water vehicle's route and harbor in the land and the sea of the Pacific. 

Thus, the geographical location and the correlated factors that the ASEAN members have contributed and play an important role in achieving its utmost progressive development while advocating a healthy and interactive environment and life.
