Begging You ~
"Last but not the least, an incident you can never erase it off your memory ? Something you did or something happened with you ? Around you ? Anything like that ?"
Shivaay exhaled and took a last sip from his coffee. He looked up from his fiddling fingers and answered to the host.
"Shivaay Sir, shot is ready!" He nodded to the assistant and walked out of his caravan. The warm summer drizzles upon his warm skin, he was mentally preparing himself for the emotional scene.
"Shivaay, you can take your time. I want you to be completely ready before we roll the camera" The Director kept his hand on his shoulder.
Shivaay nodded to him with a little smile and sat on a chair. He took a last look at the scene paper and passed it back to the assistant. It's an emotional scene which definitely caught his nerves. And so the street of colourful umbrellas.
"I have to do this well" he whispered to himself and walked towards the scene area. Since the shooting site was in an open setting, the sound of the crowd became an essential part.
"Please don't stand here! Please! Everyone move away!" The crew members were clearing the surging crowds clamoured for Shivaay's attention.
She walked in there steadily, as if all the storms in the world were a whispering breeze. She took a mini camera out of her oversized hoodie pocket. As she pointed the camera in front of her face, shrunk her left eye to draw the perfect focus, a loud roar startled her.
"Don't take pictures!" Shivaay rudely shouted on her. Her senses stuttered for a moment as she dropped the camera on the ground. Silvery tears, shivering hands, without displaying any motions, she stared at him.
And so as the quietness around grew deeper, Shivaay heard his palpating rhythm from within. Before he could do anything, she ran away from there. She ran till she couldn't get on his view.
"I couldn't recognise her face. Because, she was wearing a cloth face mask. All I could remember is her hurtful eyes. Full of disappointment. I don't know if she still feel hurt, I would like to plead my apology though"
"You couldn't find her in all these five years ?" Shivaay shook his head, "I tried, and I'm still trying. Everyone knows I decided to quit acting in my thirty. I'm 29 now. And when I look back, honestly I'm proud of myself. But... but, that incident left a big remorse inside me that I simply couldn't be happy in every way"
"By any chance, if she's watching this live interview now, what would you like to say to her ?"
"At that time, I was extremely sensitive. Particularly at that moment because that was a scene I really wanted to do well. As a young actor, all I wanted was perfection at whatever I do. I shouldn't have shouted on you like that. It was your love for me, with no intentions of disturbing. Still I—-uhm! Despite the fact that it has been a long time, I want to say my sincere apology to you. Please forgive me and come back to me now"
"I dearly hope this would reach to her. Thank you so much, Mister Shivaay. It was a great interview with you"
~
"What's wrong with you Shivaay ?!" Omkara screamed at once he entered Oberoi Mansion. Shivaay gave an unbothered look and keep walking towards his room.
"It's been five years! For goodness sake, you didn't deliberately did that for you to sit in a corner and shook your head in contrition. Forget it! Okay ?" Omkara sighed when Shivaay closed the door without a word.
Shivaay opened his cupboard and the drawer got his attention. He pulled out the drawer to retrace the deep sorrow again. The mini camera. He caressed the camera and turned it around to see the little calligraphy which was on it since then.
"I even tried to trace you out with this. But I failed" He sighed. Ash - was written in a calligraphy. Many times over, he thought it could be her signature or name, and tried every possible ways to reach her.
All of a sudden his phone rang drawing his attention. He safely kept the mini camera inside the drawer and attended the call.
"Sir, one screen-writer has backed off. The person is not willing to do this project—-ar—-" Shivaay asked, "With me ?"
"Ye..yes. Shivaay Sir, it's going to be the screen-writer's loss anyways. There are thousands of writers dying to work with you. Since it's your last project, I hope you would choose the best script out of everything, Sir"
"Hmm. Details about the script ? Because my desk is quite messy right now, and I don't like involving anyone in my study. I'll segregate it by myself"
"Sir, the script name is—-hey what's the nam—-Meeting You. Sir, it's Meeting You. Why would she even name a thriller genre as Meeting You ? Anyways Sir, it's good the writer has withdraw back"
"Okay, John. Thank you for informing" Shivaay hung up the call. "The title sounds so soft...but it's a thriller genre ? Huhm! Let it be!"
He sat on his study desk and started searching for the script. He sighed in relief when he found it out of the mess. He stopped himself from keeping it away and got the script closer to his vision.
"Meeting You. Writer...Annika Mehta"
To be continued ~
Actually, I was inspired to write this after watching an interview of my favourite actor. He only shouted at the fans, but I turned that into a little tale here. So, see you all in the next chapter :,)
