Knowing You ~
"Why did I agreed to him ? Ah! Why am I being so complicated ?" Annika asked herself whilst drying her hair with a towel.
"Di! What are you wearing for your breakfast date ?!" Rudra shouted from the hall making her sigh. She threw the wet towel on the dressing chair and stormed off towards her brother.
"Rudra, it's not a date. I won't repeat myself" She warned folding her hands.
"A young man and a young woman. Unmarried. Meeting off the professional intention. That's how Google describe a date, didi"
"It's just a casual meet. Think whatever floats your boat. Good night" Rudra gave a brief hug and wished her back.
"I thought I'm the only over-thinker in the house. But Rudra is competing me to it. It—-" She abruptly paused when her phone pinged with a notification.
[number]
It's me, Shivaay. I've sent you the location. See you in the morning. Good night.
Good night.
Annika saved his contact as 'S' and plonked herself on the bed. Honestly she don't even play an active role in her life. Things just happens, and she participates along.
"Why is he even interested to meet a bore like me ? Uh!" She sighed and covered herself with duvet over her head.
"Shivaay, papa is calling you" Omkara informed and Shivaay followed him. "Why suddenly ? Anything serious ?" Omkara shrugged off in oblivious to his questions.
Shivaay passed a warm smile to his parents, Tej and Jhanvhi before sitting beside his mother. "Have some fruit" Shivaay politely denied to his mother.
"Shivaay, it's your favourite fruit. Mangoes. Don't whine once it's finished" Tej patted on his shoulder.
"No, dad. I've already brushed my teeth. So...no"
"You're still talking like our toddler Shivaay. Haina Jhanvhi ?" She nodded to her husband smilingly.
"Anything important, papa ?"
Tej sat beside Omkara and answered, "Not at all, Shivaay. We just want to spend some time with you. You'll be busy in your shooting schedules"
Shivaay jumped into the sofa a little when his phone pinged with a notification. He excused himself and went back to his room making others sigh.
"Must be something important. It's okay, Jhanvhi" Tej rubbed her shoulder. Omkara smiled looking at his parents and averted his gaze towards his brother's room.
Shivaay smiled a little seeing her reply. He locked his phone when a series of knocks hit his bedroom door.
"What's so important for you to walk out from there ? Dad and mom were expectantly looking at you. What's wrong—-"
"Om, I'm sorry. It's—-" Omkara cut in, "Is it about the same old camera girl story ? Then I'm definitely not accepting your apology"
Shivaay looked away sighed. Omkara shook his head and stormed off the room.
"He's insane! Mom don't try to take his side! He's wasting time on searching her!" Shivaay could hear Omkara's distressed shouts from the hall. He closed the door and laid on the bed. Well, silence is an answer too.
