"So whenever you ask me again how I feel, please remember my answer is you."

"Put that glass down, Yoongi-ssi," Namjoon said in a stern tone. His voice stood out from all the noise. He was left by the others and forced to take care of his ex-lover, who seems to have no plan on stopping drinking every drop of whiskey in the establishment with the way he just keeps going on pouring himself a glass. But Yoongi doesn't listen to him; the older man takes another sip of the whiskey without even sparing Namjoon a glance. "Yoong-ssi, you're going to get drunk. I know you have a high alcohol tolerance, but you still have a limit."

"You can't tell me what to do," Yoongi says with a pout and refusing to look at Namjoon. The younger man could not help as his eyes trained on the plush and supple lips of the drunk man in front of him, who could not even hold his glass up any longer. He moves closer to Yoongi, fearing the worst when the time comes that Yoongi might pass out and he wouldn't be able to catch him in time.

He may be his ex-lover, but he is not heartless.

"Just because Jin Hyung told you to look after me doesn't mean you have to do it. You can run off and find someone to fuck, and you don't have to waste your time hanging around me."

Namjoon couldn't help but release a loud and exhausted sigh, "I may not like being in the same vicinity as you, but it doesn't mean that I lost the ability to care. You're going to have a crazy headache and hangover tomorrow if you don't stop."

Yoongi finally turns his head towards Namjoon and almost drops the glass in his hand when he notices the way his face is so close to his. But even though he may be flustered because of the distance between them, the alcohol in his system is giving him too much confidence as he raises the glass with a shaky and wobbly hand, "I don't give a damn! Who said you should care about me?!"

He takes the glass and finishes drinking all of its contents.

"I don't care about you!" Namjoon hissed, feeling irritation growing deep inside him, but he knows this is not the right time and place to have this kind of argument with Yoongi when he is not in the right mind to be saying anything logical. He has known Yoongi enough to know what happens with him when he gets drunk. "I care about the fact that I have to work alone tomorrow while you can stay at home and sleep while I work my ass off!"

Yoongi stops at the sound of this, and before he knows it, Namjoon has already taken the cold glass away from his hand, placing it down on the table and back to grabbing Yoongi's wrist. It was as if the world had stopped spinning with the way their eyes met and locked.

All the noises and loud music around them seemed to have muffled as they stared into each other's eyes. Namjoon did not know why he grabbed the other's wrist again after putting down the glass. He should have stopped a long time ago, but there was something so new and different with the way his hand gripped Yoongi's wrist, and the older man knew that there was nowhere left to go.
