I MIGHT SENSE SOMETHING
└➤ TRUE BEAUTY。✑

Seyoung practically dragged herself across the hallway. She struggled to keep her eyes open as she spared no time for sleep the night before. Of course, she was aware of the fact that she had initially suffered from insomnia and had taken no medication foolishly so.

Unable to steer a healthy existence as an insomniac, Seyoung attempted to use varied kinds of remedies to heal her illness. Singing herself to slumber being one of them. Well, one of the only methods that seemed to help cure insomnia.

She was halted by a not-so-tall figure shutting off the sun rays from her face. While squinting her eyes to see who had decided to catch her attention, Seyoung shielded herself. Why, you ask? Out of instinct. That was a weird habit she had developed. It had occurred to her that people who get too close to her, tend to startle her in one way or another. Those were experiences saved for later talks.

The girl was none other than her favorite person. Well, one of her favorites other than Suho, Jihoon and Sua. "Hello, Soojin," she said, her demeanor seeming much less drowsy and worn out. She was certainly happy to see her.

"How are you, Seyoung?" Soojin questioned Seyoung with a motherly voice that made Seyoung want to sink into the girl's hold and cry her heart out while she harangued about how Seyeon left her, and how she so desperately wanted to forgive Seojun but couldn't since she had no one else to blame but herself and she didn't want to blame herself because she knew that no one other than Seyeon's so-called fans was responsible for his death.

"Me? Oh, yeah! I'm pretty great actually." She bluffed, again. Soojin was oblivious this time.

"That's a relief. Anyway, where is Jihoon these days? That guy needs to return my math notebook." She asked, hands crossed. Seyoung gasped when she just realized that Jihoon wasn't in school the day before.

"When was the last time he attended school?" She asked, worried that he was doing exactly what she was thinking. She really hoped he didn't. After all, he was still young. And she cared for him just as much as she cared for her brother.

"Like a few days ago. Why?" She asked. Soojin would never want to interfere with their situations but this one thing intrigued her. Seyoung gasped, in terror.

"I swear if he isn't here today-"

"If who isn't here today? Are you two talking about me? How sweet!" Jihoon interrupted, a hand over Soojin's shoulder. "Were you worried?" He mocked Soojin as Seyoung looked at them with a raised eyebrow. Soojin whacked his hand off of her.

"Keep dreaming, asshole. I was worrying if I'd get my math notebook back. I need it. Now." She said, sounding the scariest she ever has.

"Jeez, okay. Here." He said, handing it to her, harshly. He rolled his eyes and smiled at Seyoung. "Are you going to class or... the bell would ring any minute now."

"We were on our way. You can leave now," Soojin snarled and walked away, "Come on Seyoung."

"I need to catch up with him real quick. I'll be there." She yelled, when Soojin shrugged. "Where were you?! I thought you started doing stuff again."

"Don't worry Seyoung. I kind of value my life a little more now." He reassured the girl standing in front of him. She sighed. Jihoon, was sick of his life and barely gave it any value. He would vape and smoke a lot. He got addicted the last year. Seyoung was very protective of the Jihoon and Seyeon and had failed to save one. So, she grew more protective over Jihoon. Of course, not intending to spread a possessive aura. But, the guy had been so sensitive, she'd have no other choice. Yet, she never blamed him. He was an orphan and the only person who raised him was Seyoung's grandma and his aunt, who was a trash can.

"I hope that's true. I'm sure you wouldn't want me intruding on your personal space by living with you and your horrible aunt again." She rolled her eyes at him when he let out a scoff.

"My aunt isn't that bad!" He whined, as his head rolled backwards. He had always been a child and it was one of the reasons Seyoung saw a brotherly warmth in him. After all, he was quite a few months younger than her.

"Hey-" He got interrupted as the bell rang loudly. Jihoon chuckled and waved at her, while she shot a one handed finger gun at him before they started walking in the opposite direction towards their own classrooms.

. . .

While everyone were seated in their corresponding spots, Seyoung trailed her eyes over the seat behind her after smiling at the short haired girl beside her. "Hey Sooa!" The girl responded with a cute wave. After she looked away, Seyoung started talking to herself.

"I guess he's not here yet... WhaT tHe hELl?" She slapped herself. She didn't want to humiliate herself in front of herself again. She had the audacity to wonder about him when she decided to shut herself off from him.

While lost in her thoughts, Seyoung noticed as Mr. Han walked inside the classroom, with the girl she saw inside the office, from before. The girl who she was very much curious about.

"Alright, This is the new transfer student in our class, Lim Jukyung." Han announced, "Jukyung, greet them."

"Hey! Nice to meet ya..." she trailed off when the whole class started cheering for the lass, Sua, Taehoon, and literally everyone else in there. Well, other than Suho and... Seyoung.

Seyoung. She was in shock. Her eyes wide open and her slouched body stiffening up as she replayed the whole introduction. Lim Jukyung. Lim Jukyung. She thought in her head, when it hit her. Lim Jukyung! I recognize her. It's that girl!
