The next day was a blur. All I remembered was waking up and sitting down to another one of my moms talks, eating breakfast and sleeping through all of my classes. When someone woke me up it was dismissal. I spent my usual 8 hours of school but it felt like 8 minutes.

When I got home I took a nap. Sleeping was my remedy nowadays. To me sleeping was like a vacation from life. When your asleep you can forget your reality and drift off into a "temporary death ".

But of course my mom came to check up on me and give me another one of her talks. The same old "Kaitlyn I got you" words.
"Mom I know. Thank you for your concern. I appreciate it. I'm just going to take a nap real quick and when I wake up we can have yet another one of these quite fascinating talks, I scoffed.

"Kaitlyn honey enough with the sarcasm. I am trying to help you. Sleep all you want but you are going to deal with this sooner or later.

And just when I thought my mom would leave me alone once in her life she came back into the room with a chair and announced she was going to watch over me while I slept.

"Oh brother. " I muttered silently. Too tired to argue I just pulled my sheets over my head and slept.
(2 hours later)
I woke up to the sound of my phone beeping. I picked it up and read the notification : 1 new Text Message.
I opened the message and to my horror it read......

Kaitlyn nothing your mom can do can keep me away from you. I've been watching you. And we will meet again....just like the other night. Remember? I do. I'll pay you a visit to refresh your memory. My revenge hasn't even ended. It's only begun.

I checked the text to try to find the number it came from. There was no number so it is probably blocked. "Mom come Quick! "
Mom came rushing in gasping for breath. "What is it Kaitlyn? "
"Mom I just got another text from my stalker. He is watching me. He knows about our talks and says u can never protect me. Mom I'm sca---"

She cut me off before I could finish. She gave me one of those stern- concerned looks and said,
"Kaitlyn do not let this guy scare you. He is nothing but a low life who preys on young women. I am your mom and if anyone will protect you it's me. Choose to believe whatever but just remember... I got you."

Mom said it with such a look if sincerety that it scared me. She literally looked like she would kill to protect me. I never took her talks seriously until then and for a split second... I actually felt safe.
I absolutely had no words to say to her. Her speech was so empowering to me. I knew that my stalker is probably watching me at this very second but I felt happy because my mom was there.
Kaitlyn you understand? , she asked.
"Uh yeah mom. Can you still call the police or something. He might still be watching me. "
Mom sighed and walked towards the phone. In about 10 minutes Officer Clark was at our door.
