Chapter 69: The uncrowned, undefeated liones

Reizth's POV
"The Crimson Lion Kings have only placed first or second, and you have the nerve to ruin that by coming in fifth!" She's mad. My bad we excited miss. "And just because my vacuous younger brother ended up bedridden? What are you, bunch of infants?!" She asked. "What's vacuous mean?" Asta asked. "She means foolish." Yuno replied. "Wait, did she say younger brother? Who's that?" Asta asked. "The Vermillion Captain possibly." I replied. Yuno nod his head. "Huh?! Then that scary lady is. Captain Fuegoleon and Leo's older sister?!" Asta said. "The nerve of that fool Fuegoleon!" She is mad, also why are these two beside her?

"How dare he raise a bunch of spineless cowards?! He has a nerve to stay in bed and leave me with a bunch of useless fools like you?" I see. "She felt sad and offended her brother was in such case." I mumbled. "That fool isn't fit to be a captain!" She said. "That's not true! Fuegoleon's a better captain than anyone!" Leopold said and every knights agreed. After the shouting they decided to listen to her, she made a decision to take over her brother's squad, it must be fun, to have such bond. But... there's no way I'd tell Asta and Yuno, that my enemy I'm after is a calamity lord.

"She's so passionate!" Asta said with tears in his eyes. What respect. "She's smothering." Yuno replied. "What kind of intense training is waiting for them?" Asta asked. "All right. Let's go to our hot springs training camp." She said. "Hot spring?" I asked. "A training camp like that sounds super fun!" Asta said looking at me and Yuno. "You must be thinking something else." I said. Yuno realized what it was and covered me. "I won't let anyone see what's mine." Yuno said hugging me. "No one ever saw him naked after all." Asta said and I bonk his head. "Ouch!" Asta said. "Joining or not I won't remove my clothes, idiot." I said. "That sounds easy." Joran said.

"I heard that." She said and grab Asta's head with a fire in lion's paw shape. "Then you should come, too." She said. "Uh, something just grabbed me!" Asta said. "Master let's leave-" But the paw grab my head. I look at her and smile in content. "Like it or not Joran we have no choice." I said. Yuno looks like he wanted to remove me from the hold but I hook my head. "Not Seishiro! I-I mean, we belong ro a different squad, and I shouldn't really be following strangers..." Asta said. Leopold made things worse. "By, Asta. I'll see you at the exams. Seishiro is fine with it anyways." Yuno sure knows my thoughts...

"Yuno! Wait, you jerk! Don't leave us! Sei do something!" Asta said. "Shiro huh." Leo said. "Seishiro not Shiro." I said. Then the paw caught Yuno which made me chuckle. "You're coming, too." She said then looks at me. "You seem powerful enough to remove my hold but you're not doing it." She said to me. "My curiosity kick in so I let your lion's paw grab me." I replied. "Who would've thought the famous unique wizard had such personality." She said. "Yeah, but how will you handle matters with our captains? I'm sure Captain Yami wouldn't let our absence slide." I said. "I have my ways on that part kiddo." She said. "By any chance are you being kind because you think I'm a girl?" I asked.

"I heard you're in a relation ship with this Yuno." She said. "..."I went silent. "Master is not a girl! And Yuno's the one that confessed first!" Joran said. "Joran." I called out and he covered his mouth. "I see, so this is your type." She said to me looking at Yuno. "Well a lot of things occurred that I can't explain in summary." I replied. Leopold blinks. "What?! I thought I had a chance but Yuno won?!" Leopold asked. "Won? Chance?" Joran asked. "Ignore him." I said. Leo introduce his sister.

Meanwhile I can hear from Joran's guiding skills that Captain Yami is having too much fun... somewhere. "You seem quite pleased with yourself for climbing up the ranks just once." Mereoleona Vermillion said. I channel her mana on me and got down. "Oh, what an interesting rookie." She said looking at me. "No one escaped it but it seems I'm the exemption, but I'll follow up to you." I said. "Well if you keep your words I don't mind since now that we found your captain." She said. "Sisgoeon..." Captain Yami said. "Who are you calling Sisgoleon?" She asked. "Well, you're Fuegoleon's sister, so that make you sisgoleon." Captain Yami said.

"Seriously..." I commented. "We siblings are not referred by such ridiculous nicknames." SHe replied. "What? I thought you just kept adding goleon to your names. I-*sighs* How did I not noticed that? "Oh, heya, Captain Yami." Asta said and I appeared but not in the way the two had. "*laugh out loud* Looks like she caught you, kid." Captain said. "She did to me but we agree on a  deal." I said. "She let go of you?" He asked. "No, he's the first and only person capable of getting free. And surprisingly he didn't free the rest." She said. "And you're coming too." She added. 

"You weren't late to the announcement. You just didn't bother showing up." She said. Wait why is the Blue Rose Captain froze in her sit? Whiile looking at her Meroleona noticed it and grab her too. Then Noelle appear scolding Asta but cut her own sentence when she saw Lady Mereoleona. "*raise hand* Yo, Noelle." I said. "Why are you the only one not grabbed by her paws?" She asked. "I can free myself at will, and it's not like I'm don't have plans to tag along with her." I said. "Tagging along by curiosity is nice but also dangerous if you're not loved by mana." She said. "Actually I'm... a seraphim." I replied.

"Anyways you're tagging along too." Mereoleona ignore my race which made me feel at ease and grab Noelle. Then they destroyed the door as they go outside. I look at the bartender and bow. "Don't worry, you're secret's safe with me." I said. The bartender smile at my words. "Aren't you tagging along? We'll leave you behind." She said. "Wait up." I said and pass through the broken door that is slowly fixing under my magic.

We reach the Yultim Volcano Trail with high mana density. "Nice place." I said. "*laughs* Glad you like it." Mereoleona said. "Yeah but.. isn't this to intense for the first time of your lead?" I asked. "You have sympathy despite with such power, it seems like you don't let your titles or power get the best of you." She said. "Power is nothing, the greater I have the greater my responsibility could gain, but, it's not my goal." I replied. "Somehow you remind me of someone named Hinata Sukehiro." She said. "Hinata Sukehiro is my mother after all." I replied. She looks at me and I can tell she had lots of questions. "I can answer you some, but not for now." I replied. "Master, wanna gain heat resistance activated?" Joran asked. "Nah, I maybe from the past but the knowledge there is helpful." I whispered.

Good thing this lion girl beside me didn't hear. "All right! Let's go, you bloody imbeciles!" She shouted which startled me for a second there. "This place is a strong magic region, since these guys have seniority, I guess this much really isn't much of  a big deal. This maybe a place no ordinary person step in, but everyone here are magic knights, not just a person but people capable of defending our land from harm." I said. "You're contradicting your own words, you just said this is too much for them but now you're supporting my decision." Mereoleona said. "I maybe contradicting it, but you know which side is most reasonable." I said and she smile. I think picking the interest of mana is good, since this place is a good training camp for their guild.

"Well? Everyone's excited now right? Come! Let's head to the summit!" She said, but I can tell the others are not excited. "*sighs*Is there a required head start?" I asked. "No, if you join you already won against them." She's too confident in her strength which amaze me. "Okay, I'll just watch over then." I said. "No cheating as to gave them your blessing." She said. "*raise both hands*I have no plans this is their training after all." I said. "Sei you've been in the fire's reach but not burning." Noelle said. "You noticed? Well let's say there's a way to protect your self until you reach the summit." I said. "A way?" She asked. "It requires a normal mana control

A/N: I'll cut it here since I need to focus on my college life but don't worry the summary of some parts left are there and everyone are in good hands meaning the guilds except the others which are the traitors, died in this book. Of course the enemies died too, but uh... I dunno if my summary to follow had in wirtten. Since summary part skips some scenes and change some ending flow and story plot flow.
