Bonding

The next few days past by in a blur, when I was not in class I caught on the reading in the secret library where no one entered so it was very peaceful. But Nana started getting very lonely, because I was never around. So I decided it was time for us to bond a little and Friday morning I asked her:

" Do you maybe want to spend the weekend with me at my parent's house?" I asked rather unsure about her answer.

" Oh my god!" She screamed, " Of course I would love to but I have to come back Saturday evening to prepare the ballroom for the king's arrival." 

" It's settled than we leave today after class." I was happy to finally have a close friend, it's been too long.

I wasn't part of the night patrol today, so I could go home early. Me and Damien have avoided each other outside of class. I mean after that awkward kiss this was for the best. I found out that monsters multiply in groups which is kinda disgusting if you ask me. I shivered at the though. 

Today I decided to wear some ripped black jeans with a grey Metallica t-shirt. and put my monster book in my backpack , I was not letting it out of my sight and kept it on me at all times. Because I feared that if someone found it, they will know about the library. And I didn't mind keeping that a secret.

As soon as we finished class we headed for the parking lot. I climbed on my bike and Nana got in her rather old car. We were going separately because she had to leave early. I put in my headphones and then my helmet. I started the engine and than we were on our way, Nana always behind me in her car.

The ride was really nice since it was a really nice day, the sky was clear and the sun was shinning bright and so it was a hot  day. We arrived at my parent's house after a hour and a half drive. 

As soon as my mum saw me she ran out of the house and hugged. I introduced my parents to Nana and we all had lunch together.

For all afternoon I showed Nana around town, and then we decided to take a stroll in the forest. It was almost sundown when we decided to head back.

As we were walking down the road, we saw a monster headed our way. Nana was petrified, she didn't hear me as I screamed at her:

" Nana duck." so I teleported and pushed her out the way before she could be touched by the monster's sharp leg, but it got me and scratched me on the side. I grabbed Nana and teleported with her about 100 meters away from the monster. I pulled out my daggers and teleported back. I lighted his legs on fire and then threw a knife slicing one of them off. It shrieked and launched at me I lifted the earth under my feet to create a wall which he his with full force and I landed on top of him. Calling back my dagger using my telekinesis I sliced it's head off.

I too quite a damage as blood was dripping from my side as I burned the body and headed towards Nana, collapsing on a fallen tree next to her and expecting  my wound:

" Shit this is going to need stitches, I can' t heal it without it is to large. Shit. I really hate hospitals." I said aloud, just as I said that Nana just like she woke up from a dreamed made her way to me:

" I can help", She said, and I watched as her hand came to my wound and a green light appeared from it, in a matter of seconds my wound was closed only a scar remaining.

"Wow, how did you do that?"

" I am a witch it's what we do, we heal, but it takes a lot of energy from us." she said. I could see she already looked tired. " Thank you, for saving my life, I am in debt to you, will you allow me to be your healer so I can pay you back some how." she continued.

" It's okay you don't have to pay me back, You would have done the same, I am sure." I assure her.

But she persisted saying: " It is our way, we cannot stray from it."

" Okay then" not wanting to upset her. " But I got to tell you, I seem to have a magnet for trouble." I said trying to lighten the mood. And it seems that it worked as she started laughing.

" So, you have powers, how do you have them, you shouldn't have them?" she asked. I started telling her about my mothers dream and how I realized I could tele port for the first time. She was astonished:

" Wow, that is really something, can you teleport another person with you?"

" Yes but only somewhere that I have seen before, or I would have to imagine a place and that can be very risky, but I also can teleport where the other persons wants, want to try it out?" I asked hoping she would say yes.

She nodded and I was happy.

" Okay focus all your attention on the place where you want to be, imagine yourself staying there, grad my hand and be ready to feel dizzy." When I want to teleport to someone else's place I have to empty my mind in order for her though to get to me and we teleport. 

Next thing I know we are near the ocean, on a beautiful beach.

" Where are we?" I asked very curious.

" In my favorite place about three hours from my home, I used to come here every weekend to swim and just stare as the sun set slowly beyond the horizon."

" It is amazing, let's wait for the sunset then."

We didn't wait long, we sat down on the sand and just stared at the setting sun. It was a nice atmosphere around us, peaceful and that feeling made me full and I felt I could really trust Nana.

" Don't tell anyone about my powers, not yet at least, can I trust you with that?"

" Yes, I am indebted to you, you can trust me with your life." she said solemnly, and I trusted her.

The sun has set by now and we decided to head back. I grabbed Nana's hand and imagine my garden and let the power take over me and we popped in our garden, Nana almost falling down.

" Hey there tiger, enough teleportation for you today."

We spent the rest of the weekend doing our nails, watching movies and going to the arcade in town. And so it finally came Saturday night and Nana went back to the academy to get the whole school ready for the Demon's King arrival and the after ball.

I decided to leave Monday morning since all the classes were cancel due to his arrival. Honestly, I didn't understand why were they making all this fuss over his arrival, from what I heard he didn't have such a nice personality. I don't understand this rule for the supernaturals that they have to respect anyone who is more powerful then them. And  apparently to them he was the superior being. I call it Bullshit, I will bow to no one, and for sure not to him.
