Normal before hell

I will fill you up on the next few days until the weekend when I am suppose to go to Nana's house to find out what the mysterious writing says. 

Ok, first thing first, I left Seth's room while he was asleep. And from that day he was actually really nice  to me, giving me flowers and chocolate and all the cheesy stuff. UGH, how I hated that, I didn't like the normal stuff, I wanted him to surprise me with knives and other weapons. Yeah I am weird, but then again, who isn't.

We kissed a couple of times but nothing special. Yeah I enjoyed the sparks that circulated between us, but something felt really off about him. So I tried to keep him from marking me, because I felt like it wasn't time yet.

Nana was really excited for me to come to her place, and I was actually curious myself about meeting her parents and how they had these connections with the mysterious man or woman that could translate the writing.

As the weekend drew closer, I can happily state that I didn't see Lucinda at all, lucky me. I was extremely happy about that.

It was finally Friday night and we were getting ready to leave for Nana place. Surprisingly, I agreed to let her to drive me there and leave my bike at the school. As we were about to exit our dorm room. I came face to face to my apparently mad mate:

"Where are you going ?"He asked me .

"To Nana's place, I am going to stay there for the weekend." I informed him.

"You aren't going anywhere."

"Oh really, watch me bitch!" and with that I gave him a quick peck on the lips and headed for the parking lot shouting behind me. "I'll text you!"

We placed our bags in Nana's car and we began our journey. It took about 3 hours to get there. But we had a blast, we listened to music, we talked about all things. It was really nice having such a good friend.

It was close to midnight when we reached her house. As soon as Nana parked the car outside. Her parents were already heading for the car.

Her Dad was a tall guy with a nice face and brown eyes. Her mom was blond with piercing blue eyes. And I could tell where Nana got her joyful energy from. They hugged and than she introduced me:

"Guys, this is my bestfriend, Khris Moondust. And Khris, these are my parents, Judy and Ryan" Nana said happily.

"It is a pleasure to meet you." I said.

"Oh, please the pleasure is all our. To meet Nana's beautiful and powerful friend." Her mom said winking at me. That made me giggle and I followed them inside.

Their house was really normal, too normal, which was ok with me. We ate dinner while discussing about the academy and some other things. We moved to the living room and then I decided to ask them.

"Excuse me, can I ask both of you a question." 

"Go ahead honey." Her mom said.

"I was wandering if you know this language?" And showed them the mysterious text at the bottom of the page about The Lost City in my demonic book.

Her mom put on her glasses and watched it closely, then said.

"Goodness no, that is ancient demonic, an extinct language, only a few still know it. But you are in luck, we have an old family friend that can help you."

"Yeah, right, good old Tuck, how is he by the way?" Her dad butted in.

"I don't know, but I will write to him soon. He can translate your text. But the problem is that he lives in The hound Market."

"That will be no problem, I can get there, I have a portal not far away from my home. Could you write to him and inform him that I will be coming with the text."

"Oh,Oh, me too." said Nana very eager. "I always wanted to travel to hell." She said.

"Absolutely not."Said her mom. "You are not going, and Khris I must warn you, hell is a weird place and really dangerous, are you sure you can go?"

"Yes" I say confidentially. 

"Ok then, I will write to Tuck this evening. And come back to you with an answer. But till then, you two should go to bed." her mom continued.

"Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me. Goodnight." I said while hugging her mom.

"No problem, dearie."

We went up to Nana's room to get ready for bed.

"Not fair, I want to come." Nana said while hitting a pillow. "How come your parents let you go?"

"They don't know, and I intend not to tell them, they will only worry more." I said shrugging. "But I could have really used your help if you came." I said to her. And I was being honest, she was my best friend.

"You know what, count me in." She said.

"What about your parents?" I asked.

" They don't need to know. And they will think I am at the academy. And even if they find out it is my life my decisions. And for pit's sake I am and adult." 

"Well said, I must admit. Thank you, that means a lot to me. I will protect you with my life." I declared.

"Why is this so important to you?"

"Well, I want to destroy all monsters, to rid the world from them. And I don't really know, I always felt connected to them in some way, I am the only one who can actually see them. Why is that? I always asked myself. And I need to find out what I am, because there is no one like me i any book. Trust me, I did my research. I just want to know what my purpose is, what I am, and what am i supposed to do. HAH, this is all so frustrating." I exclaimed as I finished my monologue. I always wandered about my powers, and why was I the only one that had them.

"WOW" she exclaimed. "That is really something, and I am happy you told me. So, when do you want to go?"

Just than her mom walked in smiling and said:

"I send him a letter, and to my surprise he responded immediately, and you are welcome to come. But I think he is more into your writing. Good old Tuck and his passions." 

" Thank you very much."

"Well then, goodnight girls." She said to us and exited the room.

"Soooooo, whennn?" Nana said as soon as her mother's footsteps died out.

"I was thinking we could leave here on Sunday afternoon, stop by the academy to get my swords and then spend the night at a motel on the way to the portal. What do you think?"

" Sounds like a plan, but how do we get the swords without your mate seeing you?"

"I can teleport. It will be a bit harder but I need to be in 1km range to the school in order to teleport with additional luggage."

"Ok then we have a plan, but what should we dress in?"

" I was thinking we go black with grey, the traditional colors for demons. And we will need some material to make capes to protect ourselves from the wind in hell. And they need hoods. Do you think we can find something like that in this city?" I asked

"Yeah I know a demon store close bye."

" We will also need provisions and some food for bad days."

" I know just the place where we can get small and durable food." She said. "I am so excited, I can't believe I am going to hell." She continued excitedly, while making her way to the bed.

"It will be one hell of a journey." If I was being honest I was curious myself about how hell looked like.

I guess we will find out soon enough.
