8: Late is better than never

After separating from Yu Han, Shen Zheqiang directly went home. When he arrived he was greeted by a familiar face who was smiling at him.
Lu Cong Qing arrived at the town yesterday and told Shen Zheqiang that he was planning to spend some more days with them. The main objective for coming here was also for collecting medicinal herbs.
The mountains here have numerous types of medicinal herbs which were rare in other places. His master in the palace had specially given him this task because he was familiar with the places around here.

At the moment they were the only people in the house. For Su Yue had went to collect herbs while Zhu Xiaolan had went to spend some quality time with his beloved.
Lu Cong Qing was very happy to see Shen Zheqiang and Zhu Xiaolan doing well after they escaped from the palace. To find them spending and making the best time of their somehow the young physician was relieved and happy.

"Where's lan'er ?" noticing the absence of Xiaolan he asked.

"Cong Qing ge a few days ago he left with young master Zhang. They said they'll be traveling to the capital. I'm guessing that young master Zhang will be introducing Xiaolan to his family. I could hear wedding bells." Shen Zheqiang replied with a smile on his face. He's happy for Xiaolan who had been with him since he was eight.
Besides Xiaolan was someone who his mother brought from her hometown to accompany Shen Zheqiang as a friend.
So he never looked at Xiaolan as his servant but rather his friend and family.

" I heard the Zhangs are a family of scholars and young master is the only heir of the Zhang family. He had achieved amazing achievements during his teens

"A- Qiang had gain weight. Have to admit Su Yue's cooking is superior to that of palace cooks. She's second to none. Even little Shen Zheqiang is getting fatter day by day." He teased.

Though Shen Zheqiang agreed with what Lu Cong Qing about Su Yue's cooking skills but the part where he was teased because of being fat was something the beauty couldn't digest.

"Brother don't make fun of me. I know I'm getting fatter but that doesn't matter does it?"
he said angrily.

"Don't glare at me A - Qiang I was just joking. Fat or not you don't have to worry people will like you anyway."
He chuckled.

"By the way you look more enchanting and beautiful than before."

The thin skinned beauty felt embarrassed by Lu Cong Qing's remark and his ears turned red and hot. Blushing all the way he ran inside the house and behind him Lu Cong Qing chuckled.
Although he doesn't feel that way about Shen Zheqiang but he is also a man. Sometimes he can be tempted by beautiful things.

Shen Zheqiang was a little late.
Their appointment to have lunch at Xie's restaurant was something Shen Zheqiang proposed but the one who was the most excited definitely had to the restless ruler of the great Qin Dynasty.

The young ger apologize for delay but Yu Han didn't mind at all.
He casually said," Late is better than never" and smiled towards the younger person.
To him Shen Zheqiang came as promised and that's all that matters.
