Chapter 7: Christmas

Y/N was lying on his bed, alone.

"Naomi-nee and Naoko-nee should've kinda stayed a little bit longer to celebrate Christmas, but they have their job to support my life here and they'll be back at New Year's eve anyways." Y/N sighed

Their winter break at school has started and it's been two weeks already since Y/N was discharged from the hospital.

Someone suddenly rang the doorbell. Y/N went to his door and saw Miko, Hana and Yuria.

"You three." Y/N said

"Come in. It must be freezing outside." Y/N said

"Thanks!" Hana said and the three of them entered

"What are you three doing here?" Y/N asked

"Well, we figured you might need company. We might not be able to celebrate Christmas with you, but we came to visit you before Christmas so you wouldn't at least feel lonely!" Hana said

"Thanks, you three." Y/N said

"But I still have to go outside and buy food for us." Y/N said

"It's alright! We already bought food before coming here!" Hana said

"Hm. I'm very grateful to meet you three." Y/N said

"Aww, you're making me blush!" Hana smacked Y/N playfully as he laughs

The four of them sat down at Y/N's short legged table in front of the T.V. as they started eating while watching Christmas horror movies.

"T-There's going to be a jumpscare around this part, r-right? It's always like this when-" Hana was cut off by a jumpscare

The other three jolted from Hana's scream instead of the jumpscare.

"Hana-chan... your screams are startling us even more than the jumpscares." Yuria said

"T-The movie is scary, okay?! Let's just watch Home Alone instead!" Hana said with tears in her eyes

"I guess we could." Y/N said

"I'm fine with it." Miko said

"Same here." Yuria said

They watch Home Alone unt it was now time for them to go home.

"Sorry, Y/N. We couldn't stay long here at your house. We're still going to get ready for Christmas Eve." Hana said

"It's alright. I had fun with you all." Y/N said

"Let's go out somewhere on New Year! We can go shopping!" Hana said

"Sure." Y/N said

"We'll be going now." Yuria said

"See you and Miko, Y/N!" Hana said

The two left, leaving Y/N and Miko. Miko was supposed to go home with them, but she wanted to help Y/N clean the dishes.

"Sorry that you had to help me clean these." Y/N said, helping Miko wash their dishes

"No, no. It's alright. It's our mess anyways." Miko said

"Hey, Miko-san. I... haven't felt this happy in a very long time that's why I can't express how grateful I am. This is the only time I've celebrated Christmas again. Last time I celebrated Christmas was with my sisters which was five years ago before they moved to Canada to support my education and daily needs. Ever since then, I never celebrated it again. I spent my time during Christmas alone at the playground swings. I don't really call it Christmas though..." Y/N giggled

"Ah, sorry. I said too much." Y/N said

"It's alright." Miko said

"I'm glad we could make you happy today, especially today's a special day. The day before Christmas." Miko said

"Mm. At this point, I don't even know if the ability to see things that can't be seen by other people is a curse or a blessing. If I hadn't gotten this, I may not have met you... I could've continued spending my Christmas alone. I'm scared that someday, the three of you would leave me and I'll celebrate Christmas alone again." Y/N said with a sad tone in his voice

Miko noticed this and quickly removed her gloves to smack his head.

"Ow-!" Y/N hold his head

"Don't ever say anything about us leaving you. You're just overthinking it. We enjoy your company that's why we would never leave you alone." Miko said

"Is that so..." Y/N blushed

They finished cleaning the dishes and Miko gets ready to head out, but suddenly, Y/N was also wearing winter clothes.

"Are you going somewhere, Y/N?" Miko asked

"Yeah, I'm going with you so you can at least go home safely." Y/N said

"No, you don't have to." Miko said

"But..." Y/N said

"No buts." Miko said

"Okay..." Y/N said

"Don't feel sad about it. You can come to my house anytime, but you're tired today so have a good night's rest." Miko smiled

"Merry Christmas, Y/N." Miko said

"Merry Christmas too, Miko-san." Y/N said

Miko tip toed and kissed Y/N's cheek before leaving him dumbfounded.

"Eh? What... What just happened?" Y/N asked

"T-T-That was so... embarassing! Why did I do that?!" Miko said with a deep red face
