I'm skipping over the Sawtooth Cauldron part because it's kind of a boring part and doesn't do that much to the main story

Sam goes through the Eridium Blight, it was heavily affected by the first Vault opening. And Hyperion made it even worse.

Jack: I wanna be clear about something. This isn't about Pandora anymore. It's about you.. and me. I can never replace what you took from me. But murdering your Vault Hunter pals? Destroying that flying city? Hell, that's a start.

Sam: Still not coming to me directly?

Jack: Oh no. I'm gonna make you suffer, and I'll start by using the Warrior to destroy Sanctuary. And you're gonna watch them die slowly and painfully

Sam: What makes you think you can take me on?

Jack: If I kill the fierce, highly trained commander of the Crimson Raiders. Then how easy do you think it is for me to kill a bandit king, a drunken freakin sniper, and some freak of a kid who thinks he's a hero!?

Lilith: Don't let him get to you! Just find us!

Brick: While you're finding out where the Warrior's buried. I'm gonna pay a visit to a Hyperion outpost, see if I can't steal some heavy armor for our final assault on Jack.

Sam makes it to the Arid Nexus Boneyard.

Mordecai: You see that building with the lights shooting out of it? That's the Info Stockade

Sam: The way's blocked

Mordecai: I know. We're gonna get you there through the main Eridium pipeline. Head there now

Sam goes to the pipeline. There was a ladder on the side of it. Mordecai says it leads to a maintenance hatch that Sam can use to get inside the pipeline. But as he tries to climb it, the ground shakes and the ladder crashes to the ground knocking Sam down.

Sam: Ladder's busted!

Mordecai: God damnit! Wait.. the pipe looks cracked. I bet if you raised the pressure, you could blast the pipe wide open and get inside that way. Yeah, head one of the pumping stations.

Sam heads to a pumping and sees some valves. He uses them to raise the pressure in the pipeline.

Sam: One station down, how many others are there?

Mordecai: There's two more, keep raising that pressure till the pipe's fit to burst.

Sam heads to the second pumping stations and clears out the security and raises the pressure there. Then he moves onto the last station.

Jack: Just wanted to let you know that Lilith's doing a bang up job charging the Vault Key. The Warrior will be awake in no time.

Sam gets to the last station and overloads the pumps.

Sam: I overloaded the last station. What now?

Mordecai: The pressure in the pipeline's so high, a little force will pop it like a blister. Get back to the pipeline, and bring your vehicle. I got an idea

Sam heads back to the pipeline with his outrunner.

Sam: So how am I breaking it open?

Mordecai: Ram the pipe with your vehicle

Sam: What?

Mordecai: It'll be just enough force to break open and not completely destroy it. It probably won't kill you. Hopefully

Sam just decided to go with it. He ramps off some rocks and crashes into the pipeline making an explosion breaking the pipe open.

Mordecai: Hijo de puta! I heard that all the way back in Sanctuary! You can get to the Stockade through that pipe now. Get inside and find out where Jack's got the Warrior.
