(Mauve: Mauve is the hue of decadence, youth, and femininity. It evokes feelings of purity and devotion, with the moodiness of a deeper purple. Mauve brings to mind the ethos of renewal associated with springtime.)

Where had everyone gone? Mauve wondered as she walked back into the base. She shrugged, and looked over at the board, worriedly realizing their numbers had gone up slightly.

Mauve, being one of the more mature, and maternal members, was naturally the mom of the team. Left to constantly worry about the others, but she didn't just worry about the people in her team...

She also worried about Sage. She had known Sage since one of their first days, which was pretty close together, so when they first met they were both newbies.

"W-who are you?" She had whispered, them both having ducked underneath the same bush, hiding from the two fighting teams outside of it.
"Mauve." She had whispered back, as Purpled was fighting against one of  the green members.
"I'm Sage." She replied, reaching an shaky hand out to shake.

"Are we supposed to be talking to each other?" Sage said, casting a worried glance at her now loosing team members. Mauve tilted her head at Sage to examine her, floppy deer ears and antlers only adding to her look of a adorable frightened deer.

Sage's bright green eyes matched her hair almost perfectly, her gaze was trained outside the bush, unaware of the staring.

"We'll be fine." Mauve said, decisively grabbing her hand and running out away from everyone fighting. This has escalated quickly, Mauve thought as she ran with the strangers hand in hers.

"Mauve? Mauve!" Came an familiar welcoming voice, wrapping her in a quick hug. The green girl's eyes staring into her's, the naturally worriedly eyes, seemed more troubled than normal.

"You alright?" Mauve asked, putting one of her hands on Sage's shoulders as they got out of their hug.

"I'm fine. It's just I'm so tired of playing these games. I'm tired of all this fighting, Mauve..." Sage sighed, her eyes downcast.

"I am too. But it's not like we can escape." Mauve says, her eyes looking at the sky warily, as if in fear of being watched.

"No.." Sage sighed.
"Hey. It's gonna be alright! We will visit like we always do, and if anyways finds out and kills one of us, it's not like it's permanent." Mauve comforted her, as she usually did whenever Sage spoke of escape or wanting to be together without the constant worry of being found out.

"I guess." Sage smiled, reaching out for her hand, Mauve taking it gently.
"You know I love you right?" Mauve said, leaning into the other girl.

"Of course, I love you too." Sage sighed in contentment, both wishing they could stay like this forever.
"We should be getting back... Sorry we couldn't talk for longer." Mauve whispered, as Sage nodded in agreement, a look of longing on her face once more.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." Mauve said before she ran down the path to Purple base.
"Cya." Sage waved, before jogging towards Green Base.
