Julie, Ray and I were walking up the driveway, only for him to stop "(Y/n), we need to talk." I rolled my eyes in annoyance before turning around to face him. Noticing Julie stopped as well he dad was quick to shoo her away "Julie go wait outside the house, I'll be there soon to talk." Julie nodded her head before looking nervously between her dad and me, I sent her a small smile as if to tell her 'I'll be alright' which gave her the okay to keep walking.

Once she was out of ear shot, Ray spoke up "Listen (Y/n), I'm worried about you. Julie's been telling me you've been skipping school and drinking no less." Ray held a disappointed look on his face as he continued "I'm supposed to be looking out for you, but all you've been doing is getting into trouble. I care about you like you were my own." My eyes narrowed at him, not wanting to have this conversation.

"Yeah but I'm not. I'm not your daughter. And you're not my dad, so stop trying to act like it."

He ignored what I said and decided to speak up finding an explanation as to why I'm acting up"(Y/n), I get that you may be still grieving over your parents passing and your grandmothers as well. But I can't allow this behavior to continue. I'm just trying to look out for you, and so was Julie by telling me." I shook my head letting out a scoff, crossing my arms across my chest.

"So that's why I think it would be best for your uncle to come back down here."

My eyes shot over to Ray, taking a step forward I stated"No. He can't come down here! Besides he has work. Do you really think he's just going to-" Ray cut me off, already seeming to know the answer to the question I haven't fully asked yet.

"(U/n) already told me that if you stepped out of line again that he'll be here in a heartbeat. So I don't think work would be much of an issue for him."

My teeth clenched in anger, hands turning into fists at my sides, I don't want him down here. I don't need him down here. "I suggest you go home now. You have school tomorrow and I still have to talk to Julie." I let out a small huff in anger before walking off back down the driveway, passing by the boys and Arius along the way. The boys didn't say anything, just watched as I walked off, and I wasn't in the mood to talk to them anyway. The black cat was quick to follow close behind.

When I glanced at the boys, the looks on their faces told me that they heard everything, from my parents passing, to my uncle coming down to Los Angeles. It wasn't something I wanted them to know but now they did, and I was sure Reggie would be the one asking me all the questions when he gets a chance.

When I walked through the front door of my house, my eyes immediately drifted towards the kitchen. Having one thought echo inside my head I need a drink. Arius didn't say a word as he watched my every move from the couch in the living room, having hopped on it as soon as we walked in. I started heading towards the kitchen, only to be stopped by a jolt of pain coursing through my arm, causing a fit of coughs to arise.

"What did you do?"

I ignored Arius and ran over to the bathroom, I leaned over the sink, letting out a giant cough, a red color splattered inside the sink. The metallic taste of blood lingered in my open mouth as I tried to catch my breath. Spitting in the sink to get some of the awful taste out of my mouth, I could feel Caleb's mark burning my arm. I let out a yell in pain as I stepped back against the wall, falling down, my whole body was in pain but the only pain I could truly process was the mark on my arm. I can't take it anymore. Stumbling out of the bathroom, I slowly made my way to the kitchen.
