Annabeth P.O.V.

Normal days are when you get ambushed by hideous 8 legged little beasts, right? No? Can anyone relate? Really. My gods, you guys are boring. Anyway, Annabeth was just trying to go outside and see what disaster was gonna happen today when a spider came charging after her. "OH GODS!!!", she yelled as she saw the spider running right towards her.

Trembling, she slowly walked over to the side of the cabin to get a broom. She raised the broom and smacked it down on the spider, it turning over dead. "Oh my- Oh my gods.", she whispered to herself.

Percy P.O.V.

"OH GODS!!!" That was the last thing Percy heard before he blacked out.

*Time passes*

He woke up in a metal dome thing and saw a pile of letters at the door. He first tried opening the doors. Then, he decided to open the letters. The top one, and the newest one, was the one he read first.

Dear Percy                                                                                                                    5/16/24

I still haven't given up. Please respond. You've been gone 5 weeks and it's driving me crazy. After Hera and her mind-erasing shenanigans, I just be used to this but I'm not. Come back.

Love,

Annabeth

"5 weeks?!", he whispered to himself.

Annabeth P.O.V.

Percy had been gone for 5 weeks. He had never been away for so long since the time Hera wiped his memory. She worried every day about him, and became super paranoid. She never realized how much she depended on Percy. Even when he was gone for a really long time due to Hera, there was no titan to worry about. Now, ever leaf that crackles, she expects to either find a giant spider or a possessed friend.

Suddenly, a noise popped behind her. Not a leaf, spider, or friend. A... some kind of orb? Her first instinct was to touch it, so she stepped forward. An inch away from touching the mysterious orb, she looked around. "No one here. Guess it's just me.", she said to herself, jumping into it. She fell into a dome. This... was different.

Percy P.O.V.

"Contestants!! The doors will open, and you will fight to the death! 3..."

"I can do this. Lemme at 'em", Percy whispered to himself.

Annabeth P.O.V.

"2..."

"Open the gates already, I'm in the mood for blood.", Annabeth grinned.

Percy P.O.V.

"1."

The doors burst open and Percy's gaze was met with a familiar grey pair of eyes. "Percy?", Annabeth asked, bewildered. Percy looked around. The guards were about 5 feet away. Annabeth, 3. The top box above them had a hatch under it. He exchanged a glance with Annabeth. "How do you know my name?", he asked her, putting some genuine curiousity from the room into his question.

"Oh... you reminded me of my boyfriend. Well, lets get fighting.", Annabeth grinned, obivously catching on. They ran towards each other, fighting like they did in training. Enough to injure, but not to kill. "Nice plan, Seaweed-brain.", Annabeth muttered as they fought, her voice covered up by the clanging of Riptide and her knife.

The circled each other, then charged again, this time deploying the plan. Annabeth chased Percy around, so much that Percy began to sweat. Percy gave her a thumbs up and she stopped. Quickly, he used the bead of sweat to gather enough strength to jump up and break through the hatch. Percy threw his sword at a lever that sent down the ladder. Suddenly, a guard got out a bow.

Percy and Annabeth quickly made it up, but not before the guard shot Annabeth in the leg with an arrow.

Annabeth P.O.V.

At first, she was feeling amazed that Percy had come up with the plan. Then, anxiety from what was waiting in there. Now, all that flashed through her head was pain pain pain pain ouch ow that hurts. Percy hadn't noticed yet and had already slew the captain. Annabeth saw the golden dust  sprinkle about. Then, she saw something. "Percy, behind you!!", she cried. Trying her hardest to scramble up the ladder, Annabeth saw another guard, pointing an arrow at Percy's chest.

Thankfully, with her warning, he was able to dodge the arrow. Then he charged at the guard as he clumsily tried reloading his bow, killing him in one strike. "You okay?", Percy asked her. Annabeth crawled into the top box, closing the hatch behind her. "Yeah, I'm- I'm fine.", she said slowly. Percy got into the chair and looked at some buttons. "Hey, it looks like this thing doubles as a plane!"

Percy P.O.V.

The plane/top box helped them escape, but Annabeth was still hurt. "Ok, where to?", Percy asked. Annabeth had found a map, so she knew where to go. "Go east for about 5 kilometers, then take a left turn and were at Camp Half-Blood. Camp Jupiter would be 4 kilometers, then a left turn." "Camp Jupiter it is. We have to get your leg healed fast."

Once they were at Camp Jupiter, Percy was bombarded by questions. The nurse took her in. "Where were you?!", Jason asked them. Piper had gone off to tell the others that Percy and Annabeth had finally come back.

Annabeth P.O.V.

Annabeth's leg was... not the problem, to say the least. It hurt, that's for sure, but there was poison in the arrows. Killing poison.

Annabeth stumbled over to Percy. "Percy... I-" A tear glistened in her eye as she told him. "I'm gonna die."
