Final Act

"Thank you.... Thank you!", Nic replies in excitement.

" Alright, when do we head out?", Kinsley asked. The group of friends exit the door, while both of the workers prepare to shutdown the store for the day. Leo looks over to Nic, observing his awful, gaping wound.

"Are you really sure you're up for this? You don't have to be a part of this."

"No, we are in on this together, I have to finish what I started. Technically speaking, I'm the one that brought the creature in here, so I feel that I, must be the one to send it back", he explained.

"Nic... You don't have to do this", Elle replies, showing concern. Leo sighs in disapproval, forcing himself to honor Nic's request.

" Elle, let him do what he feels is right", he says to her. She turns around to him, giving him a stern look.

"Please", he mouths. She exhales softly, and nods to him.

"Okay...", she replies to Nic. The two workers finally come out, turning off the lights and locking the doors behind them. The group steps back a bit, watching as they approach Nic.

" Alright kid, show us the way", Kinsley stated. Nic begins to lead the group, marching their way to the side of the building, and manipulating through the corridor. Eventually, they arrive to the back of the store, where the group stop in their tracks. Nic presents the Cubix to the adults, where they look up to it in fear.

"Jesus...", Kinsley quoted, showing visible fright in his expression. The two workers observe the Wraith, as it stared back onto them with a blank expression, seemingly waiting for their presence. It begins to drift around the cube, now standing in front of it, causing Kinsley and Catherine to move a few steps back.

"Kid....how did you even put up a fight with that thing...I can't even keep a straight face looking at it", Kinsley says in a terrified manner.

"You can't be scared when your face to face with something out of the ordinary", Nic replies, staring back at the ominous creature.

"Alright, like I explained, just go with the plan, and if something goes wrong, do whatever you can to send it back, and should something happen to me, don't stop for me, just get the job done." Elle began to feel discouraged, still worrying about Nic in hopes that he survives. She sighs, and snaps away from her worries, now focusing on this mission.

"I'll go first", he insists. As he takes a couple of steps forward, Elle grabs him by his arm very sudden, making him stop.

" Nic!", she yells to him. He turns to look at her, somewhat perplexed.

"Please, be careful", she says calmly.

"I will", he responded. She lets go of him, and Nic continues making his way towards the Wraith. As it follows his every move, Nic approaches the creature with caution, standing face to face with it one last time.

" Hello, friend", he says confidently while smiling. He watched as the creature moved closer to him, when all of a sudden, the Cubix began powering up. The creature looks over to its right, seeing that Kinsley is operating upon it. Now, the rest of the group comes through this unseen wormhole, from where Nic disappeared on the first encounter. The creature becomes startled, processing a moment, just before it turns around quickly. Nic grabs it by the arm again, making it turn back to him rapidly, about to strike with the other arm.

"Not this time", he states in a serious manner. Unbelievably, he catches the arm of the Wraith, holding it in place and bracing himself from the impact. As the creature pushes Nic with brutal force, the Cubix begins to activate with its procedure, all while the group moves away from it. Naturally, it drains the energy from the Cubix, and the group retreats back to Nic. The machine is then forced to return to its normal phase, while the red screen glitched, reading " Error". The Wraith begins to tremble erratically, when it suddenly jumped in the middle of the group, creating a large pulse around itself. As a result, the pulse sent everyone flying into the air, landing back on the rocky ground with rough impact.
