i speak in the language of men,
i resurrect the psalms within,
pouring forth the stars in which i gazed,
i brought myself out of death, i was raised,
willing myself to rise, to rise with a righteous wrath,
i give with care, i take what thine hath,
my steps are laid out by the hands of fate,
eternity! eternal me, to go beyond these gates!
as i walk gently over fields of green,
i too wish to be wished to be seen,
oh, the stars and all their wonder,
hold fast, these are worlds to conquer,
you're the warmth of someone's fire,
i long to stay where it's warm, where we never tire,
there is something that troubles me,
something wretched, in the realm of eternity,
i willed myself to enter through boldly, quietly,
payable on death, i weep freely,
a peace that overwhelmed me, i called upon storms,
many storms with many names, keep me warm,
but a warning that lingered into the new day,
i held your warmth against the sting of rain, oh the fray,
lush is a life made for those who want ease,
i declared, "i was made for days like these"
an ember in my hands, upwards i looked to the stars,
i let you go, ascending to somewhere far,
i was met with Winter and all of her cold,
she taught me suffering and what it means to be bold,
it was Spring who kissed me in passing,
she doesn't linger for long, far from everlasting,
Summer visited me in the shadows for many centuries,
between us, we made many enemies,
but it was with Autumn, i remembered you,
i gazed to the stars, longing for what is true,
you are the warmth in my Winter,
you are the life through Spring's splinters,
you are the hope in Summer's shadows,
you walk from the tide of Autumn's shallows,
i recall the psalms from within once again,
be my undoing, make me a new man,
truth be told, i hold to my deceptions,
perceiving the depths of my inward perceptions,
i have the spirit of thunder, waiting to wail,
and as lightning strikes, painfully quick I fell,
as the feather floats slowly to the earth,
i watched all my stars explode waiting for their rebirth,
"i never knew you," to the familiar face,
i gave you my dreams, you were to give me grace,
as i hit the dirt below and now then know,
my dear warmth beloved, to watch as this glow now grows,
the stars was where we sought shelter from where we roam,
i still look towards your many lights longing for my home.
