26. Family

I saw a look on Trevor's face. He was smirking at Lazarus.

As we stood in front of a portal, my feet didn't move. Mia turned around and looked at me with confused expressions.

"Sorry, but you are fake Babes." And I gave her a big smile and pushed her inside the portal. After 3 seconds the portal shut down, disappeared into the thin air.

Both, Trevor and Lazarus were looking at the situation with disbelief. I gave a smirk to Trevor and turned around and ran towards Lazarus.

Without giving him much time to process, I hugged him tightly. But he was still in shock, just staring into my eyes in disbelief.

I turned around, took Lazarus' hand in my hand, and faced Trevor.

"Such cheap trick Trevor. I got a higher IQ than you. Tsk, tsk, so sad, you got only the power but no brain." I know this could be my last words but I wanted to pay for his sins, for humiliating me.

"How? Why did you push her?" Lazarus was asking me questions before Trevor.

"Coz she was fake"

"She looked perfect," Trevor said.

"I know Trevor, you got the power of illusion but as I said, you don't know the emotions and bonding, so you would never know."

Laz smiled back, and he slowly kissed my forehand. That made me blush, but I could smell some rotting smell, I looked at Trevor and he was looking like an egg on a frying pan, His look made me laugh.

"Hey, Trevor wanna know one more thing? The person beside me is Prince Lazarus, of Royale Shadeu Kingdom, and also my HUSBAND." And I tighten the grip. "I will protect him and our kingdom, till my last breath. So don't play your cheap tricks again, you no-brainer." And I gave him an aggressive look.

As my last words landed, the floor was shaking, the chandelier above us was swinging vigorously, I know this could be my last words but I am not gonna die as a weakling, at least I was proud of myself by my confidence to face my fear.

But as I looked at Trevor, he looked so surprisingly towards Laz, with the confusion I too looked at him. Laz was shining brightly, like a star, our grip slowly started to loosen, as he was levitating above the floor.

He moved his hands and a golden spell of bubble encircled around me. Trapped me inside, but to protect me, from the falling glasses. I stood there and Trevor too rose above, from his thrown.

But Lazarus was looking so confident and was ready to attack. He used his hand and a golden ray came out of his palm and hit Trevor, Trevor barely missed it.

Again Trevor attacked but It wasn't affecting Laz. They were fighting like hell, I was unable to look coz the shining rays of Laz were too intense that I couldn't look at them anymore, the floor was ready to collapse when a powerful wave hit me I was thrown in the hallways. The glasses shattered and the floor collapsed. But the spell was still protecting me, hence I just got some minor scratches.

Everything went silent, As I slowly stood and ran towards the debris of the palace, I was struggling to get the sight of Laz.

"Laz, Laz....Lazarus." I was searching for him so madly, when I saw a moment under the pile of glasses. I ran over there. I moved some glasses which made my palm bleed. But in the end, I just wanted Laz to be fine.

As I moved more glasses, I saw a disgusting face.

It was Trevor.

He was taking some shallow breaths. There were many cuts over his body. But I was pretty sure he would heal quickly.
