As the two kissed, Smile started to whine and let out sharp warning barks. Jeff knew he’d found something, but he was currently preoccupied. The yelps were getting more and more urgent though, and Jeff sighed when Candie pulled away, glaring at Smile. She smirked at him.

“I’m sure he’s-” Jeff was cut off by a loud hissing from the woods. Smile’s head was low and his body still as he growled in that direction. Jeff stood and pulled Candie to her feet as a fog covered the area. Candie looked around, a bit spooked, but didn’t show any real fear.

“What’s going on?” She asked, letting down her ponytail. Her hair fell to brush the backs of her calves, but a purplish glow radiated through it.

“I don’t know,” He shook his head, then glanced in the direction of the opening to the basement. “Though, I have an idea.” Jeff grabbed her hand and took off into the woods, Smile leading the way to whatever was trespassing on Slendy’s land. They ran deep into the forest, jumping over thick roots and ducking under low branches, until Smile skidded to a stop. The three stood in the middle of a clearing, like where Candie fought Ms. Scarecrow, only it didn’t seem like the same one. Jeff and Candie stood back to back, watching for any surprise attacks while Smile circled them, sharp teeth bared. Candie narrowed her eyes, squinting at something in the distance. There was something with yellow eyes watching them from a distance, then it disappeared.

“Uh…” Candie tilted her head toward Jeff, though her eyes remained glued to the spot. “Zalgo wouldn’t happen to have, I don’t know, proxies of his own...would he?”

“Yeah. Ms. Scarecrow is one of them, and that hooded guy I killed. Why?” He answered still watching for any sudden movements within the trees.

“Cause we got company,” Candie spun quick, shoving Jeff out of the way, and slashed at the creature she had seen. Somehow, it’d snuck around them to pounce from the bushes at Jeff, but Candie anticipated the surprise attack to counter it. The thing fell back and let out a pained hiss, it’s chest lined with three claw marks that instantly started to spill over with blood. Behind Candie, Jeff snatched his knife from his pocket, readied in defense.

“The Rake,” He growled. “Hold him down,” Candie nodded and whipped her tail out at the thing, wrapping it from the neck down. Smile stood guard for any other trespassers and awaited any commands while they dealt with this one.

“What are you doing here? Hasn’t Slenderman warned you enough?” He spat.

“Master wants his subject back,” The creature, The Rake, spat back with as much venom in it’s words as Jeff’s. It’s voice was nasty and gravelly, with a slight hiss.

“Tell him he can take her from us when Hell freezes over.” Jeff was in Rake’s face now. “And the next time we catch him, or any of you other bastards, on our land, it won’t be pretty.”

At that, Rake opened his fanged mouth wide and chomped down hard on Candie’s tail. Screaming in pain, she made the mistake of snatching her tail back, letting Rake tackle Jeff. Rake slashed at Jeff’s face, with claws as sharp as broken glass, but Jeff dodged it, just barely missing him. Smile charged the creature attacking his master and sent them both rolling off of Jeff, snapping at each other’s throats. Tearing up a bit from the pain, Candie dropped her bleeding tail and let it wrap back around her leg as a tattoo; the spot that got bit looked like the tattoo artist missed a spot in the design. Using her dark magic, Candie held out her hand and lifted Rake from under Smile, her eyes glowing a furious red. She brought up her other hand to hold the creature in invisible bonds, and pulled them apart until she was a twitch of the wrist away from tearing his limbs from his body. The creature’s ear-splitting screams echoed throughout the woods, bouncing off the trees and scaring off the wildlife.
