7. WEIRDOS

Inochi ran as fast as possible as it was getting dark outside. She had told Naruto to train by himself in the morning but did not think that she would get so late to return. "I did not have lunch with him either. There was food at home I hope he has eaten something." Inochi hurried to her apartment building. She changed into jounin uniform as she walked up the stairs and knocked on the door. She could hear Naruto's voice inside and was relieved that he had come back safely.

Naruto opened the door with a frown and Inochi knew that she was in huge trouble.

After Inochi freshened up, she sat down on the floor with her head hanging low. Naruto was standing in front her of with his arms crossed.

- "Now. Inochi Nohara san. What was the reason that you are so late?"

-"I am sorry Naruto-"

-" Naruto san" Naruto corrected Inochi.

Inochi chuckled at his cuteness. "He acts a bit like Obito neesan when he is angry." Inochi thought while controlling her laughter.

-" I am sorry Naruto san. I suddenly had to report for a mission. Please forgive me."

-"I will not" Naruto shook his head. "Unless.. You teach me a real ninjutsu" Naruto took his stance. He had been asking Inochi to teach him a real jutsu for a year, but Inochi never did.

- "Fine. I will teach you a real jutsu. BUT only after you learn chakra control"

-" FINE THEN!" Naruto and Inochi shook hands to seal the deal. Both of them spent the night chatting about their day and then went to sleep.

The next morning, Inochi asked Itachi to come and train with her as she knew she would not get to train a lot in Suna. Even though she was still unsure about the mission, she wanted to train as much as possible in the three weeks she had at hand.

Itachi and Inochi were thus now standing face to face, each ready to take on the other. Both took out their kunais and ran towards one another.

Kakashi and Shisui were standing under a nearby tree observing their students.

-" I did not know Inochi chan was so good at taijutsu. Even I can barely compete at that against Itachi" Shisui told Kakashi while being completely awed at Inochi's offence.

- "Yeah. She improved a lot since she joined the ANBU" Kakashi knew how inferior she used to feel when she was first assigned to his team. He was thus proud that Inochi was at last making progress with her self confidence.

- "Ahh. It seems Inochi chan is very sincere about training for the mission"

- "Nahh. She just finds training interesting" Kakashi knew Inochi too well. He was thus completely aware of the fact that whatever Inochi did was not out of responsibility, but fun. "Wait... what mission??"

After thirty minutes of fierce taijutsu fight, both Itachi and Inochi fell to the ground. It wasn't their first fight, but this was the only one after which Inochi felt satisfied.

-"Yo... You got better... Inochi" Itachi said between his breaths.

-"Yeah. Th... Thanks" Inochi knew she improved a lot. This was the first time that Itachi was as exhausted as her after a fight.

*Clap**clap**clap*

They both looked up and saw Shisui, Kakashi and Gai ,who joined the other two just a few minutes ago, approaching them. Gai was completely amazed at the fight while Shisui had a wide grin on his face. However Kakashi has a grim aura around him.
