"Alright, Kat you better do it!" They all snickered at the skeleton, who was walking in the direction of what seemed to be an abandoned path that lead into a forest. "Yea yea, if I don't come out, then assume the thing killed me!" He continued the walk, ignoring any other comments they may have said.

He held a small bag which contained supplies to help him in whatever he was supposed to do, he also held a book that contained every detail about the ritual, so it wasn't a very thick book.

The forest was quiet, only faint bird calls and the rustling of the leaves could be heard, it was quite peaceful for a supposed 'haunted' path of a fallen god.

"This is dumb, it's just a myth people made up to keep people away from a dumb broken up path." He spoke to himself, snickering at random leaves or noises he found amusing as he tread further into the forest.

Eventually he stumbled upon a cliff that revealed a much thicker version of the forest he went through. "Holy shit, why would they try and prevent people from coming here? This could totally bring so many tourists!" He grinned, looking around and spotting a slope that he could climb to get down. "Hell yea, they're gonna be so jealous when they hear about this!"

Kat quickly ran to the slope, climbing down as quickly as his legs could take him.

Though, midway through Kat had tripped on a small rock, sending him tumbling down the slope.

"SHIT-"

"OH GOD-"

"AGH-"

Kat eventually reached the bottom, his body ached in every area, he groaned in pain as he sat up to find his missing book and bag. "Where is it?" He frowned in frustration, though he eventually found both of them and stood up.

"God, I did not think that through." He dusted himself off and headed towards another path that lead inside the forest, he was set on finding the perfect place to begin his ritual.

Kat shivered, pausing for a moment. "Geez, I didn't think it would be so far into the forest." Kat rubbed his arms, it was getting somewhat cold.

As he walked the forest slowly got darker, and the trees got thicker, which was probably the cause of the darkness.

It had been almost twenty minutes since he fell down the slope, the path slowly became more and more visible the further he went in, as if someone had been living far inside the forest and was taking care of the old path.

Eventually, the path stopped and replacing the path was a huge temple, decorated in gold and rubies, and so many other gorgeous, polished minerals.

"..holy hell." He stood, his mouth agape as he stared at the beauty that was this giant temple.

Kat carefully walked closer to the entrance, grinning to himself. "They're gonna be so much more jealous hearing I found this thing!" He ran inside, his grin growing larger every second.

The temple was more beautiful on the inside despite it seeming impossible, the same gold covered the walls and ceiling, from rubies to emeralds, it was as if the temple had it all.

It was more beautiful than anything he had ever seen. "How could they not take advantage of this place? It's gorgeous!" Right after speaking, he gasped. "Unless nobody knows about this place besides me!"  His grin grew larger than possibly, before pausing. "Riight, I need to start that dumb ritual." Kat reached onto his bag and got on his knees, taking out sticks, rocks, matches and a red paint. "Alright, and now we check the book.." He put everything on the floor, taking his book and opening it. "Circle, an 'X' in the middle.. and I can't use a paint brush or anything, blah blah." He put down the book and made circles with the rocks, and put sticks upright against each other inside the circles and in the middle of all the rock circles, he drew a giant circle with the red paint, also making an X in the middle. "Cool, and now we light the fires." He picked up the matches, taking one, lighting it and lighting up the sticks inside the rock circles.

He took the book again, reading the letters in bold out loud.

"Okay- 'Hear me now, dear god from the shadows' what the? 'Come out to the light, to the flames, and showcase your glorious power to me.' " He looked at the pages, snickering at the strange wording. "Okay, this is totally made up- what god would answer to this shit?"

He laughed at the mess he made to summon a god, placing down the book and taking off his bag. "This is stupid, there is no way this is even remotely rea-"

He was cut off by the flames growing taller, creating a giant ring of fire.

"hOLY SHIT-"

Two of the flames went out suddenly, creating an opening. "Well this is new." He picked up the book and put it in the bag, then put on the bag. "Maybe this isn't as fake as it looks.."

The ashes that fell from the sticks were almost pulled towards the red circle, coming together to create the silhouette of a skeletal figure similar to Kat, except much taller and it had strange noodle-like appendages covered in what looks like thorns, protruding from it's back.

Eventually the real thing appeared, what he thought to be just a dumb myth was true and it was right infront of him.

"What do you want from me, mortal?" The figure's voice was deep and soothing, their clothing was gorgeous, it was decorated in the same gems that decorated the temple, indicating this temple was one for this god.

"I- I don't know, I didn't know this would actually work, uh I'm sorry I disturbed you?" The tall figure walked closer to him, the flames dying down to their original state. "You don't know want you want, hm?" Kat nods nervously, glancing around. "You summoned a god willingly, unknowing of the dangers." The taller squinted, walking away from Kat to see the old temple. "Who are you anyway? Like what's your name?" Kat stood up, following the tall figure. "Sullivan, God of the dark forest." Sullivan glanced back at Kat before continuing his look around the temple. "Sullivan huh, so what's going to happen to me since I've summoned you?" He tilted his head. "Are you sure you want me to pick what happens next?" The taller looked at Kat. "Yea sure, I don't really know what to do anyways."

Sullivan walked towards Kat, leaning down to Kat's height. "You will stay here, and you will help me take care of this place until I must leave once again." Kat paused, his face slowly becoming one of dread. "And how long until you leave..?" He backed away. "Usually I stay for a few minutes since the ones who summon me already have a wish, but since I am allowed to roam freely, I could stay here for days and possibly months." Kat shrank back in fear. "So what you're saying is I could be stuck here for months..?" The taller nods. "I can't do that! I nee-" Kat was cut off by the taller picking him up, and taking him to another room. "Shut up already, I've made up my mind." Kat struggled in Sullivan's grip, panicking as he realized he was being taken to a room filled with candles and had a.. bed? "Why are we in a room like this?? Why even IS there a room like this in a temple of all places?" Kat was placed on the bed, the taller standing right infront of him. "I may have lied about who I really am." The taller's eyes glowed a soft purple, and he smiled. "Eh- ehh..??"

Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to summon him.
