He watched as some people set up a table for him, as he fixed up some flowers. "Good god.. I didn't think that I would be so nervous just getting ready to ask her out.." He huffed, placing the flowers in a vase.
The others walked over, nodding. "Everything is finished, I wish ya' the best of luck with the lady." They exited the room, leaving Silver to calm his nerves. "I've got this, it'll be fine! It'll be absolutely fine." He scratched the back of his head, looking towards the exit. "Okay, all I need to do is ask her if she wants to have dinner with me, that's it! That's all I need to do."
He walked towards the exit, just slowly making his way outside, to go and find Mel.
He found his way through waterfall, knowing she'll probably be in Snowdin.
He snagged an umbrella, more for her when they headed back through Waterfall. "I hope this goes well.."
He eventually did find his way into Snowdin, walking to her usual spot which she was in. "Ahem, m'lady?" He went beside her, his hands were shaking from how nervous he was. "Ah, Silver, what brings you here?" She smiled softly, unlike him, she seemed very relaxed in his presence. "Ah I uh- wanted to asked you something." He gently took her hand, going in front of her. "Yes?"
He hesitated, looking down and avoiding eye contact. "So.. could please go ou-"
He was cut off by a person speaking. "..gross, what kind of Nightmare has boobs?" Silver looked over at the person, glaring. "If you aren't going to say anything nice, keep it to yourself ya' asshole." The person just scoffed. "What a simp." They left, with others snickering at the comment. "Tch, horrible." He very carefully pulled Mel, to a quieter spot. "Where are we going?" She tilts her head. "Somewhere with less people." He walked towards Waterfall, being very careful as they neared the more rocky path. "Careful, there's rocks." Mel nods, walking slowly. "So.. what were you going to ask me?" Silver paused, sweating. "Right, right.." He turns to her, taking a deep breath. "Mel, will you please go out with-" Once again, he hesitated, causing another slip up.
As he took a small step backwards, he stumbled, pulling them both down to the ground.
"aG-" Unfortunately, to Silver's bad luck, they both fell right into a puddle. "Ah- goodness, m'lady I'm so sorry, are you okay?" He sat up, helping her up as well. "Yes- I'm fine, are you?" He nods.
..ah god she's blind.
"Yes- yes, I'm okay." He stood up, helping her. "Goodness- you're soaked, come on let's go and dry off." He opened the umbrella, and gently took her hand once again.
They went off to Hotlands, finding a place to rest, and dry off.
Conveniently, he had a small rag, and so he used it to very carefully dry off Mel. "It's okay Silver-" She giggled. "No, I don't want you getting sick m'lady!" He used his free hand to gently cup her face, keeping her still. "You're so protective." He smiled softly. "It's my job after all." She leaned into his hand, comfortable like that.
His heart just melted, he really does love her, hm?
He thought for a moment, before deciding on something. "Well, I think I forgot what I was going to ask you, do you want to go walk around, instead?" His thumb gently rubbed the side of her face. "That sounds nice." They got up, allowing Silver to slowly lead her around the underground, He planned to find his way up to the surface.
Once they had arrived, he let her go near a tree. "Could you wait here for a minute?" She nods, and he quickly runs to where he previously wanted to bring her. There were some stumbles but he eventually found his way to the table, grabbing a note.
He promised himself, if everything went to shit, he'd use this.
He sighed, holding it close to his chest. "God, why can't I just calm down?" He grabbed a bouquet. He quickly ran back through Waterfall, though getting stopped suddenly by someone. "Hey! Please help me!" The person grabbed onto his arm. "I- I'm sorry I really can't right now." He pulled his arm away, continuing to run back to where Mel was.
On the way, he almost dropped the letter in a puddle. "My god what is with my luck today?!"
He finally skidded to a halt, slowly walking towards Mel. "I'm back, m'lady." He breathed, obviously out of breath even for Mel. "Goodness, did you run a marathon?" She giggles. "Possibly, though a much shorter one than most." He chuckles.
"Why did you run off?" She tilts her head, getting that answer as he handed her a small letter. "Silver, you know I can't read traditional writing." He smiled. "I know, I found out how I could write a letter in braille, for you." Mel gasped, smiling. "Goodness, you're so sweet.." She opens the letter, letting her hand softly drag across the holes poked into the paper, that created makeshift braille writing.
"Oh.. oh my-" She now placed a free hand over her mouth, clearly shocked. "Ah- I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have given it to you so soon- I am so sorry-" Mel giggled, waving her hands a bit as if to gesture to him to calm down. "It's okay, calm down.." She smiled softly.
"I love you too, Silver."
He gasped, not expecting that answer. "I- oh i-" He blinked, now unsure of what to say.
He stepped closer, gently cupping her face. "I'm- I'm so glad.." Silver's smile grew even bigger. "My goodness.. I didn't expect you to- actually accept my feelings." He leaned in a bit. "M- may I.. k-"
She leaned in, cutting him off.
It was truly blissful.
The funny part, though.
He didn't mean to write 'I love you.'
