Spartan-190, The Metal Hero (Halo X The Rising Of The Shield Hero)

The next thing 190 knew was that he was in a field, the sky was a red color with purple spirals. He sees waves of monsters and knows he won't have enough ammo to kill them all. And his energy sword, while it didn't have a limit on the times he could strike, drew power from the reactor on his suit, meaning his shields wouldn't recharge while he had it equipped. So he relied on his most versatile weapon.

His fists.

He punched the heads of several monsters off, while also using already dead ones as a weapon as well, by ripping off their limbs to use as clubs, although he gave up on that idea, as they just broke far too easily.

"Who the hell are you?!" A teenager shouted to him, he wore a green cloak and moderate armor, which resembled that of a knight. His eyes shifted to a monster behind him, he pulls out his Magnum and blows the head of it off. The teen looks at him, the two share a nod. They are on the same side, albeit the teen is slightly annoyed at the fact he was caught off guard by the gun, but Right now, that's the least of his worries.

"Alright, I don't know you, but you seem like an ally, just don't get in my way."

In a deep and gruff voice, the being responded with, "Same to you, let's get this over with."

The two smirked at each other, although one had a helmet on, the other had a hunch his smirk was returned. The next sight shocked the Spartan though, as he saw a raccoon girl take his side.

"Master Naofumi, who is this?"

The Super Soldier was surprised, he really was in another world. Shaking his head, he replied as he turned to face the monsters in the village, " A new ally, let's go.".

Without another word, they all charged over, and a complete and utter massacre ensued, the three achieving synergy surprisingly quick. And with deadly efficiency, they cut and beat the monsters down.

The other three heroes felt powerless, and one, in particular, started harboring hatred for the shield-wielding hero, as well as the new arrival. He would focus on that later.

Eventually, the waves end. And the metal soldier decides to finally introduce himself. "I'm Mike-190, but you can call me Chips, and you can blame my superiors for the name, Naofumi.".

Upon hearing this, he struggled not to laugh and waved the raccoon girl over to introduce herself, as he needed time to regain his composure.

"I'm Raphtalia, thank you for helping Master Naofumi!" Her tail wagged particularly as she said his name. She had an aura about her that made him feel at ease, but he decided to tease her a bit.

"It's no problem, but I did notice something."

"Huh?" Raphtalia's ears perked up, curious.

"I saw your tail wagging quite a lot as you said Master Naofumi, is it possible yo-"

"Yes, I do like him. He saved me, gave me food to eat, and has always been by my side since the day he met me, not once has he treated me harshly, and for that reason, I am his sword."

Naofumi sweatdropped, looking as though this has happened before.

Mike was bummed out that she was this honest, it meant he couldn't have fun teasing her, but oh well, it would avoid any cliches he saw when he watched anime with the ODSTs and marines back with the unsc.

-Later

Naofumi and Mike were in the carriage together, and Mike had caught wind of the rumors surrounding him, so he decided to question him about them, since Raphtalia was in the front of the carriage, and wouldn't be listening in on the conversation.

"I've been hearing some rumors about you forcing yourself on the Queen's daughter, Naofumi. You don't seem like that kind of person, but I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me the truth, are the rumors true?"

Naofumi looked him square in the eye, " No, I didn't, you planning on turning on me now?". Naofumi very clearly took a different demeanor now, at the mention of this.

"No, in fact, I believe you entirely, the look in your eyes is that of a person living through an injustice, deprived of a chance to even defend themselves. If I'm completely honest, I don't think a criminal that's fallen that low would risk their life as you did to protect this country.".

"You know, for being a little older than me, you sound like my old man," Naofumi responded.

"Just a little older, huh? Well, I got a surprise for you." Mike said as he took his helmet off

Naofumi looked up, shocked, This guy was at a bare minimum twice his age, and his strength still was insane!

"I'm 44 years old, old enough to be your father." Mike put his helmet back on. "And I plan on proving your innocence, it might not happen today, but you can be damn sure I'll drop the discrepancies on them harder than my fists on those monsters.". 

Naofumi smiled as they approached the place he hated, feeling hopeful for the first time since that princess betrayed him. In a way, this man acted like a father, protecting his son.

The Shield hero and Raptalia jumped off, whereas Mike got off slowly, so he wouldn't damage the floor. The trio headed to a palace where they were welcomed, but only scowls and angry expressions met the hero. Mike nodded to Naofumi and signaled that he would be sitting away from him for the time being to observe those around him, and watch over him.

He saw what he assumed was the king and a girl that matched the appearance Naofumi described, that was the king daughter, she wasn't afraid of seeing him at all, instead, she had a smug expression, and instantly, Mike knew she framed him, and nothing had actually happened to her. She had screwed him over.

His anger would have settled in had he not been called over to speak to the king. His footsteps alone seemed to shake the hall, with how heavy they were.

"This is the knight that assisted the heroes in the battle." A guard spoke.

"What purpose have you?" The king inquired, intrigued, but also feeling chills in the presence of this individual.

In a cold voice full of suppressed anger he responded, "No, I'm here to expose the atrocity that bitch committed.". He pointed a finger at the princess.

Behind his visor, Mike narrowed his eyes, "What i'm here for is to prove the Shield Hero's innocence.".
