The Blizzard Samurai crashed through the roof of the house and the ninja entered through the door. Harumi noticed there were two kids inside and quickly protected them as the ninja took care of the samurai.

"No!" Kai yelled while the Blizzard Samurai struck his axe onto the fire. The wood scattered on the floor and some sparks flew around the air before the fire died down completely. With the lost of their only source of heat, the cold immediately settled in for there was nothing to fight it back.

"You have won the battle, but without your fire, you have lost the war." He declared before heading out of the village and retreating with his army.

"What do we do now?" One of the children asked from behind Harumi. She, too, had the same question on her mind.

"I-I don't know." She answered as Lloyd approached her. Harumi removed her hood and gave him a weak smile.

"You okay, Rumi?" He checked up on her first and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm alright, Lloyd." She responded before grabbing the hands of the kids. "We better keep them safe."

He nodded before they all walked towards the center of the room. The elders had gathered in the small hut and sat themselves around the fire pit. Without the heat, everything had gone colder than before as the winter grew stronger. The villagers passed around blankets which the ninja used to cover themselves with. The moonlight from the now open ceiling served as their source of light while everyone tried to figure out what to do.

"Mommy, I'm cold." A boy quivered from across the team while he stuttered from the chill.

"I'm sorry." Kai whispered as he looked down.

"It is not your fault, Kai." Sorla comforted him which made the boy sigh.

"I just wish there were something I could do." Kai stated.

"You have done all you can." Sorla assured him with a smile. "Have you not?"

The people watched intently as Kai got up and tried to get a fire to start on the logs. A small flame started from below, the more Kai pushed himself, the bigger the fire got until it was fully restored. The villagers gasped at the sight and began cheering.

"I-I did it." Kai gasped as his efforts had managed to drain his energy.

"You sure did!" Nya exclaimed from his left while Cole helped him up.

"True power is never lost." Harumi stated with a smile.

"Just listen to them!" Lloyd pointed towards the people.

"Fire maker! Fire maker!" The villagers chanted with excitement.

The village slept in peace for they knew that the ninja were now their protectors. They had their fire back which made them confident that the warriors would not return for some time. They just had a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow.

Harumi woke up early the next morning when the ray of sunlight had managed to break its way through the window and onto her eyes. She groaned and placed her pillow over her face for she did not want to get up yet. Her muscles still ached from yesterday's battle but she knew she had no choice.

"We're going to go fix the roof of Sorla's house." Jay called from the door before he and Nya walked out.

"Catch you guys later!" Nya exclaimed and shut the door.

"I'll start shoveling up some snow." Cole announced while stretching his arms. He had just come out of the bathroom and immediately headed out the door.
