Third person:
The weather was calmer than most, less snow fell leaving the piglin hybrid with better vision of their surroundings. The cold air pricked their skin and made their eyes sting, but growing up in the snow biome had its perks, by now they were used to the freezing temperatures. They wouldn't go as far as saying they were immune to the effects, but it was clear that they had somewhat adapted to the climate.

The tall figure sighed in relief as they slid their sword back into its holster seeing that their cabin was up ahead. They tapped Karl's sides with the heels of their boots to try and get him to go a little faster, as the diamond armoured horse's feet sped up to a trot, the sound of items clashing and bouncing off eachother could be heard from the chests attached to the it's armour.

Technoblade had just looted a woodland mansion, adding to their totem of undying stash, along with taking a bunch of other valuable items, along with a particularly interesting book that caught their eye.

When they finally reached the house, they tied Karl to his post and collected the chests attached. One by one they took them inside and sat them down next to eachother.
The piglin hadn't had enough time to actually look at most the things they had collected, they opened up the first chest and rummaged around.
Most of it was gold, diamonds, emerald and some random junk. They smuggled a few gold nuggets in their pockets, just feeling the sudden urge to do so at the sight of them.

"Welcome home, Tech." The bird hybrid entered the room with two hot drinks and passed one to the piglin.
"Thanks." They replied in their usual monotone voice.

Phil sat on the couch behind techno and just observed as the piglin rummaged through more stuff they had taken, occasionally commenting on some of the items.
"Find anything interesting?" He asked, noting that Techno didn't seem too interested in the other objects and seemed to be searching for something in particular.

"Yeah actually," they perked up a bit when they found what they were looking for, a dark red book almost netherack-like, but it was designed to look that way, it was old looking and dusty, hadn't been read in ages, "this." They passed it to Phil behind them who immediately took it, intrigued.

'My research on Pigmen.' The title read.
Techno sat on the floor infront of Phil as the older opened the book and scanned the beginning page thoroughly, his facial expressions changing from concentrated, to confused, to surprise along with a few others. Whatever he read, it was interesting.

"This is a book written by someone who looked into piglins and their history," he started, "it isn't in the usual layout of a book though so it's kind of hard to follow..." he continued, squinting at some words, "whoever wrote this has terrible handwriting..." he chuckled.
He hummed to himself as he continued reading a bit more.
He gave the book back to the younger hybrid, "seems like an interesting book. It says that whoever wrote it was a human who decided to look into their behaviours and languages and stuff." He recapped.

Technoblade didn't really care much about piglin history, it wasn't something they thought really concerned them. Really, they stole the book to look into gender identity of piglins.
They would never admit it because they thought it was embarrassing that they didn't know their own gender, but it had been something that was crossing their mind a lot lately.

While Phil was doing his own thing, Techno skimmed through the book till they finally found the page they had been looking for.
"Piglins- gender theory"
They read the entire page without hesitation.

Whilst observing the piglins behaviours, I noticed that unlike humans, piglins do not posses any primary or secondary sex characteristics that would allow me to determine which were male and which were female.
After examining further, I realised that this was because the piglin species do not have what is humans have classed as "male" and "female", they all act, look, talk, and treat eachother the same.
This has led me to believe that Piglins do not have a gender construct like humans do, they do not have any word like that in their language either.
Therefor I have come to the conclusion that Piglins are what is humans would classify as 'gender neutral', as they do not have a social construct that includes defining eachother by their primary or secondary characteristics.

Technoblade closed the book, disgusted by the following page they didn't wish to read about "baby making" amongst Piglins. They were more interested in the informative page they had just read, it answered alot of questions but also gave them new ones.

They assumed that the reason they didn't really find 'he/him' pronouns satisfying or appealing when used for them was just because they didn't care, but after learning a bit about Piglins, they seemed to realise that maybe it was because of where they originally came from.
Of course being part human did give them male characteristics, but also being part piglin meant that if they were raised by Piglins they wouldn't have masculine pronouns, or maybe even no pronouns at all based on what the book said.

After eret came out as genderfluid, Technoblade had actually learned alot more about pronouns and stuff, which is actually when they started thinking about it.

"Hey, Phil?" The piglin called, Phil looked up from whatever he was doing on the other side of the room. "What's up?"

"Can you please use they/them pronouns for me?" The younger asked.

Phil just nodded and got back to work on whatever he was doing like it was a daily occurrence, "sure thing, mate." He smiled.

The piglin hybrid already felt more comfortable, like a weight they had no idea was holding them back had been lifted.
And they felt so much more comfortable now they were out.
