Author Nixen here. Sorry this took so long I lost motivation halfway through for a while but I'm back!

"Absolutely not," I told Clay. "If you want to get yourself killed be my guest but I'm not helping you fight Sam."

"I'm not asking you to fight him I'm asking you to distract him!" Clay cried. He had be trying to convince me to help him for half an hour.

"You're not even sure those books have what you want!" I yelled. "Now leave me alone."

"Even if they don't, don't you want to see Sam? Mabye you could get his memories back," Clay said grabbing my left arm as I tried to walk away.

"As much as I want to see Sam alright and sane, the answer is no," I said. "I won't get myself killed unless you know that the information is in thoes books."

"How am I supposed to do that?" He said.

"If you really want my help you'll figure it out," I said shaking my arm out of his grip and leaving. Since Sam being kidnapped I had became the hear of security and I hated it. The office hadn't changed a bit since Sam had been the head. I couldn't bare to replace anything. Even the rusty old sword I hated so much was never touched.

I could remember him leaving to go hunting. I had no clue that would be the last time I'd see him in months.

I really wanted to go with Clay but I had no clue how Sam would act. I remembered Ranboo coming into the office.

"It's been months Ranboo where is he!" I cried.

"He was taken by Schlatt. His memory was completely wiped. He works for Schlatt now. I'm so sorry," Ranboo told me with genuine sadness in his eyes.

I wanted to cry. To scream for my friend, but I couldn't let Ranboo see me like that. Not now, others have lost plenty more and never shed a single tear.

"Leave," I told him.

"What?" He said. I was to quiet so I raised my voice.

"Leave. I want to be alone," I said louder.

As soon as the door was closed I cried. I thought it was selfish but I couldn't care less. I wanted Schlatt dead. I wanted his blood on my sword. I wanted his head on my wall.

"Thinking about Sam?" A voice called.

"Who- oh hey Foolish," I said spotting him.

"Why don't you go with Clay if you're this worried?" He asked.

"Because I don't know how Sam will act. He may be passive but he may try to kill us. I just don't want to risk it," I groaned.

Foolish didn't say anything for a moment. We were both lost in thought. "Remember when we were kids and we were constantly fighting?" He asked with a slight laugh.

"Yeah, I swear Sam had it out for me. Although you always seemed to get along with us," I said laughing weakly with him.

I thought for a second. "I'm going with Clay," I stated.

"That doesn't surprise me. I knew you would break with Sam involved," he said getting up.

"Clay sent you to convince me. Didn't he?" I asked.

"Nope. I did this because I know how hard this has been on you," he said with a small wave and before walking put ge said, "He's in the library."

I immediately walked to the library. "When are you leaving?" I asked him once I saw him in the back of the library near the enchantment room.
