Chapter 18

Here's a bit of a longer chapter since I haven't updated in a while:)

3rd person pov

"I remember" Izabella spoke after all the memories came flooding back.

"How did you guys know where I was, who were those other people with you, and how did you guys all have guns?" she asked curiously.

All of the guys looked at each other not really sure what to say

"cazzo dovremmo dirglielo?" Leonardo asked running a hand through his hair. (Fuck do you think we should tell her?)

"Non lo so" Elijah sighed "pensi che lo sia pronto a saperlo?" (I don't know, do you think she's ready?)

It annoyed Izabella that they were all speaking another language, which she couldn't understand.

"Penso che meriti di conoscere la verità" Valentino said. (I think she deserves to know the truth)

"Hai ragione dovremmo dirglielo" Alessandro spoke. (you're right we should tell her)

"Ok bambina this is going to be hard to hear but uhm" Elijah paused.

"We're in the mafia"

Izabella laughed not actually believing they were in the mafia, like her brothers in the Mafia? That can't be true. But when she looked around and saw that no one was laughing she knew it was true and that her brothers, cousins and even Valentino were all in the mafia.

"the mafia. All of you are in the mafia." Izabella's breathing started becoming un even.

"Hey Iz calm down, you need to breathe" Matteo said walking closer to her.

"no, no get away from me!" she yelled pushing her self farther away from them on the hospital bed.

"We aren't going to hurt you Iz" Adriano spoke.

"Just leave me alone.. please" she whispered.

Leonardo looked ready to say something but one look from Alessandro made him shut up.

Matteo walked out of the door first, everyone else following behind slowly.

"Cazzo, she hates us now" Adriano spoke, his voice cracking. (Fuck)

"She doesn't hate you guys Adri, she just needs time to process everything, think about what she must be thinking and going through right now. She just found out that all of the people she was closest to and trusted kept a big secret from her. Plus she just got kidnapped, just imagine everything she went through Adri" Valentino spoke softly, comforting his friend.

"Yeah you're right I guess, but I feel like I betrayed her by not telling her" he fiddled with his hands in his lap.

"You didn't, you kept this from her for her own good. Here why don't I go talk to her hmm?"

"Okay" he sighed.

Valentino then stood up and walked towards the room the hospital put Izabella in.

Izabellas pov

After everyone had left the room I was staying in I fell asleep almost immediately. I still couldn't believe that they were all in the mafia.

They kill people.

A knock awoke me from my sleep "Amour can I come in? I just want to talk to you"  I heard Valentino speak from the other side of the door.

"Yeah.." I spoke.

Vincenzo opened the door slowly before softly closing it and making his way over to one of the few chairs in the room.

"Listen your family kept this from you for a reason, for your own safety. I know it's a big thing to keep from someone but it was for your own good, and I understand that you may have lost your trust in them just please don't hate them. Trust me when I say this that you are their greatest treasure and are the best thing that has ever happened to them so please please do not hate them, they love you so much" Vincenzo spoke truthfully.

"I don't hate them i-" I sighed "I'm just shocked, scared almost. Like I just got kidnapped, gone through hell and find out my brothers are in the mafia which means they..they kill people"

"Amour they only kill people who have done bad, they don't kill innocent people"

"Okay good" I nodded.

Valentino stood up from his chair before taking a seat on the end of the hospital bed. I looked up at him, curious as to what he was doing before feeling him pick me up and place me on his lap and crushing me into a hug.

"V-val" I spoke with a squeaky voice.

"Hmm?"

"I c-can't breathe" i spoke out of breath.

"What?" Valentino spoke before looking and seeing that he was crushing me with his hug "Oh sorry amour" he said before giving me a kiss on the forehead. (Love)

"Hey get out of the way it's my turn!" I heard Adriano yell before pushing Valentino out of the way and bringing me into another hug.

"I'm so so sorry for keeping this from you tesoro" he spoke. (Treasure)

Not long after the rest of my brothers and cousins came in, each giving me bone crushing hugs. Well everyone except Leonardo.

"Where's Leo?" I asked everyone.

"He's still out in the hall" Giovanni said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Okay" I carefully got up from my bed.

"Hey wait you're supposed to be resting" Elijah spoke coming up to me, picking me up.

"I just want to go talk to Leo" I spoke.

"Izzy no you need to be resting" Alessandro spoke sternly.

"Pleasee" I gave them puppy eyes knowing they can't say no to it.

"Fine but only for a few minutes" Alessandro said admitting his defeat.

I smiled before continuing my walk to the door out into the hallway where I saw Leonardo hunched over on a chair with his face in his hands.

"Leo?" i softly spoke.

He didn't answer and just moved his face farther from my view.

I walked closer and gave him a hug, for a second it confused him before he hugged me back strongly. Soon I started hearing sniffles to which I looked down and saw that Leo was crying.

"Hey Leo what's wrong?" I asked.

"Do-do you hate me now?" he spoke, his voice cracking.

"What? Leo, no I could never hate you, I have to admit it was shocking to find out that my brothers, cousins, and even Valentino the guy I li- I mean Adrianos friend are all in the mafia. But you guys are still my family and I love you guys, I always will"

Leo stared at me for a second. His eyes red and puffy from crying before saying " I love you too" and hugging me once again.

We stayed in that position for a few moments before Alessandro came out of the room and said that I had to go back into bed and rest. Alessandro went to go pick me up, but Leo being Leo held me closer and picked me up carrying me back to bed himself.

"I can walk you know" I said with a giggle.

"Yeah but not right now you're supposed to rest so too bad" Leo smirked before placing me back onto the bed.

"When can I get discharged from here?" I asked curiously.

"The doctor said you can tomorrow morning but you will still have to rest once we get home" Alessandro said.

"Okay" I said before saying goodnight to everyone and falling asleep.
